RDF rolls out a lot of changes to our website quite often, and while some of them are uniquely customized, it is not often that we can claim credit for designing them in their entirety.
The RDF Geographical Survey (or RDFGS) is something we have been working on a long time; it is an interactive, up-to-date database of radar/laser threats around the United States, with information on radar detector/laser jammer laws, and includes specific details down to the city level regarding speed enforcement tactics and technology. The system was developed completely in-house and is maintained by the RDF community.

Currently, most states are filled out with as much data as we have on them. There are a few other states that are still being filled with data; pwrpuma has a list of these. If you see
For launch, onlyAdvanced+ Intermediate+ members will be able to add data to the system. This will be changed eventually, to prevent a flood of information entering the system.

If you have trouble accessing the script, do this:
1.) Make sure you have private browsing disabled, and cookies are enabled.
2.) Browse to Main Page - Radar Detector & Laser Jammer Forum Wiki
3.) Logout if you are currently logged in.
4.) Log back in, and make sure you choose "remember me."
5.) Once logged in, head over to the script at https://www.rdforum.org/rdfgeo/db/
That should fix any issues you guys are having with access. You must be logged in to your RDF account to access the backend system.
All changes made to the backend system (the linkAdvanced+ Intermediate+ members can access) are refreshed on the frontend system (the pages with data appearing in the Wiki) AT MOST every 5 minutes. Most pages update in real-time. If you made a change to the database and it isn't immediately reflected on the Wiki page, wait 5 minutes and check it again, it will be there.
When entering data, the county must be specified (selected from the drop-down menu). This is how we generate the google-based map overlays.
For tactics such as ENRADD, VASCAR, etc, which don't currently have a column or option in the "add entry" form, please list these in the "notes" area. We will be expanding the functionality to meet these needs soon, once we know that the primary system is functioning to its fullest capacity.
For all state agencies, select the "State Police" option under the county list. If you have additional information on other agencies (such as Transit Authority, etc), please specify it in the notes for the "State Police" entry.
The "State Police & State Agency Information" column on the front page is pulled from the "notes" section under that state's "State Police" entry. If you want to edit this, that's where you need to go.
The "Interactive Map" on the font page pulls legal information from the "Click here to edit the description for the state of X" link under each state in the backend. Go there to edit this.
Anyone who adds or edits entries to any state will automatically be added to the "Contributors" section on that state's page, and on the front page.
This is a very complex system. There may be some unforeseen bugs that have not appeared yet. While we have fixed all the ones we have seen, if you see something out of the ordinary, please let us know it in this thread.
All additions, edits, and deletions are logged. We are watching
