So have the Mazadas now become false K alerts?

Anyone else notice?

Also- tested laser vs the pink TMG handheld tester. Alerted to all except the middle gun. ("Tru Speed S")

Lol. What do you mean?? You’ve just noticed that Mazda CX-5’s cause a K band false?

Don’t worry about the testers Tru Speed S not alerting. I have that same tester and that setting will not set off any of my detectors.

It doesn’t even set off my ALP’s so it’s the tester. Not the detector.

Mazdas have always alerted as MRCD to me.

Maybe the older pre 2016 CX-3’s. It’s been a while.... but the 2017 + CX-5’s have been falseing everything to 24.125. Right in the Raptors wheel house.

I had upgraded to US21 a week ago and didn't have any issues until Saturday. Started the car, my Pro M powered on and a few seconds later it displayed low battery and shut down. I went inside and upgraded to US22 and have not seen the low battery display since. Granted, I'm not driving as much, but will keep an eye on things.

I found a ton of messed up RLCs on 99 NB heading towards Whyte that are messed up. Whitemud WB before the Terwilliger split, Yellowhead trail, 109 ST/104 Ave, 97 Ave/Rossdale Rd, and others I can't keep track of.

Aye it's scary out there. The camera etc at that junction on yellow head just beside the old airport was silent as hell nasty place not to get an alert eh?

When you guys are checking out the database do you run Waze data beside it and compare?
What is preferred running in Edmonton area? Waze or Radenso or Uniden databases?

Personally I do not run any apps at all. I don’t even bother with Escort Live.

There just doesn’t seem to be the user base for a crowd sourcing type of notifications here.

I’ve tried them out....but I found Waze more annoying, distracting, and wrong than helpful.

Escort Live? Same thing. Not enough users here to make it any more useful. Especially in the city.

I’ve found the databases are all pretty good here. Some misses amongst themselves.... but none standout as head and shoulders better than each other.

I also turn off speed camera notifications off on the detectors. Just due the shear numbers of locations.... the detectors would be going off every 2 blocks with possible locations where there could be a photo radar trap.

I’d much rather have the detectors tell me there is one there...... rather than crying wolf that there could be 1 there.

I do utilize the RLC only on the detectors myself.

I usually run Waze along with the RLC database in the Pro-M.

Waze is not bad. It's more accurate than the Pro-M right now. Map editors can be really slow to add RLCs and for some reason they think some of them are "fake" RLCs. They don't seem to get that not all cameras are enabled all the time.

You also have to understand that people using Waze will mark both stationary photoradar/police. They'll mark moving police to let you know they're patrolling the area.. eg: you'll see police marked on the ring road, but not on an overpass, you can surmise it's rolling LEOs.

@Randy at Radenso / @Jon at Radenso - The entire Edmonton RLC database is available online via Open Data..(including travel direction, speed, and GPS coordinates)

Is there any way to to replace the Edmonton RLC with these:
(105 RLCs and counting!)

Edmonton users - Please try updating your Pro M today, should be some fixes for the database.

Thanks Randy!

Quite a big improvement. All the usual problem intersections seem to be fixed and the extra RLCs that I typically see seem to be fixed too.

There is one spot that I'm not sure can be fixed? There's a freeway(Whitemud drive) that is 80kph, but there's an overpass/cross street on top with like a bunch of cameras.

Is there anyway to not have it alert when on the freeway?

Unfortunately I don’t think we can do much for situations like that but I’ll pass the word on.
