Recently got pegged 96 in a 70. Georgia has the wonderful super speeder fine they love to tack on. Cop running radar coming at me, picked me up. Threatened to take me to jail because I had an out of state drivers license. I was very respectful the entire conversation and couldn’t understand why she was so upset at me. Immediately pulled up Vortex Radar YouTube and began my research. R7 with hardwire kit/remote should be here Thursday and I have the ALP in my cart on their website.. figured I’d come here for some guidance prior to pulling the trigger on it. I will scour the forums for advice as I do have a full size sedan (2018 Taurus SHO) and I’m sure I’ll need to drop over 2k to get total protection. Looking forward to interacting with you guys.

Welcome! For Gerogia, ALP is a must front and rear, they run dragoneye in places in GA so you will want a solid setup as that is thetoughest gun to deal with laser wise. Well worth it though as one or two save will pay for itself. Also make sure to run waze, it's a big help. The R7 should serve you well, dial it in to get some good settings for balanced quietness and solid performance.

Welcome! You're aren't going to get a lot of argument on your choice of countermeasures. Top notch choices.

Welcome! Yeah an R7 and ALP is an excellent setup.

Glad to hear my videos were helpful for you too!

Speaking of which, your post has me thinking... for people wanting to get started, it'd be nice to have a helpful kit to recommend for people like you ready to dive in... R7, ALP, and an optional dashcam.

Hello Mike.

A big welcome to the forum from your Florida neighbor. If you plan a DIY of the ALP system, the placement of the sensors is very important. I received a lot of help from forum member last year when I installed my system, and I am sure you will too. The people here are very smart and most generous with their time to help fellow members. Glad to have you here.

Welcome sorry to hear about your encounter!
I’d go with 2 Rx 1tx front 2rx 1tx rear! R7 can’t go wrong! My set up is 3 rx front 1rx rear and 1tx rear but I have a mustang, little bit smaller front grill.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your ticket, that sucks. Better get a good lawyer and let them go to work on this! Good luck!

Welcome! Your combo will be killer. Read up a bit on the ALP and the recommendation to kill it as soon as you hit corrected speed so they get a reading on you. I have ALP on my todo list as well to go with my R7.

Total cost was $1200 for ticket and lawyer. Reduced to not take points and no insurance reporting but got stuck with the fine. That’s half the cost of ALP . Lesson learned.
