Firstly I apologize for the bigass name my car has.
Its a 680hp "hybrid" (lol), which is very enjoyable, so the name is justifiable.
Nothing to show off about this install as I didn’t do it myself .

I am not one to care for aesthetics obsessively, I'm more of a function over form kind of guy. And as I change cars frequently, didn't make sense to pay for extra labor for doing all that aesthetic stuff, when the car will be gone soon (average about a year). (Otherwise id do it just like shown in the other thread with the 2020 Panamera 4)

Sorry about the car being dirty, but drives as well as it does when clean. And as you can tell, there's bugs and stuff splattered across the front because I drive the car like It was meant to be driven, and always obeying PSL :downswords:.

In this particular vehicle, I couldn't install the TX in the front since it was too low.
It has adjustable suspension and the height at any given time can be adjusted, but even in the "high" setting, as you can see: the best number I could get was 18in height which was still questionable at best, and I would never drive the car in "high " setting suspension as this is meant for high curbs/parking/shitty asphalt etc. Not meant for highway driving or otherwise.
Most of the time when driving at highway speeds the car dips to the low setting on its own (Which drops it as pictures above) (and the spoiler comes out and the rear wheels steer, basically becomes a go kart)

The car is in medium setting suspension height on average and most of the time.

I guess if I had a front plate to serve as a bracket, I could put the tx there, as circled in red. And then the RX would remain low or would they have to be moved?
It had a front plate bracket, but front plates not required where I live, so I asked dealer to remove it .

Interior shots attached. The control pad as marked in red.
And the LED as marked by the red line in the alternate interior photo.

The rear is where my question is: (Mods feel free to move to more advanced section if appropriate)
No I don't deal with many rear shots, but I like to be prepared.
Is the distance between the two attached good enough?
The other panamera had one RX and one TX.

All of this was fine against PL3, (which is all I have), with multiple runs.
Otherwise:
Waiting until either 1) someone is willing to violate stay at home orders to test with me 2) this COVID thing is done and overwith for a group testing session.

Ive attached a customary pic with pets since this Is what we do lol :
small one is a green cheek conure
bigger one is what is called an Illigers macaw

Nice ride. According to the specs, the TX is too close to the RX in the rear. However, @Andrew21 tested someone recently who also had their TX closer than 8" to their RX and it tested fine.

One thing, and pictures are deceiving, but it looks like the TX is angled down. If it is, you need to angle it up about 1 degree.

Yes! I thought so too and so i shoved something back there to angle it up and then came back out to look at it and then it was angled high up.
then I looked at the pics again and in one pic it looked fine and in another pic it didn’t.
testing will tell.
Thanks man
Will await @Andrew21 input

I have a TX and RX about 6.5 inches apart on my rear and it performs fine. Of course you need to test it though and the most crucial thing is to get the right angle on the TX.

Very nice car, and I wish we had 95 mph speed limits in my state too!

Check your PM for a nice video.
Separately yes I’m going to have to get with the group once corona confinement is over

It looks good but you should test it. But from what I can see on the pictures, you can move that sensor out another inch or so. See if you can do that. This way you won't get reflections from the TX sensor.
Test it and let us know! :)

it might block the Backup camera but I’d rather backup slower than usual than lose any money Due to a ticket.

He means, move your RX sensors further toward your tailights.

@DocTJ I'm going to need more birb pictures — are those your co-pilots? :p

More on subject, we just recently finished up a 4S E-Hybrid with an Escort/ALP combo. I was actually considering the TX above the plate mount kind of like we did with This Golf R, but the client requested a magnetic removable front plate instead, so we stuck with the triple RX:

I know the front ends are different, but does that center head on yours mess with the auto cruise control at all? or the other way around?

The rear on the one we did was just dual like your last setup, We built a plate mount system and tucked them in tight.

You can barely see the RX and TX up int here on the last photo. We ended up scooting them out closer to the lens after these pics were taken. That said, this was JTG/JFG on every angle we could try with our Stalker XLR.

I wish we'd done a setup with the TX that close before so we had some test results, we just usually stick with dual if there's any question that we'll run into problems.

Hi, curious if you tested your setup yet. I'm starting to plan out placement on a Taycan Turbo and am worried about some trade-offs I may have to make.

No i haven’t yet. Waiting for quarantine to be over to do a meet.
It did great with the PL3 when i tested it myself with my wife .... but that’s such a limited test.
Congrats on the Taycan (if you got it ) ! Love it and happy for you. Show pics when you can. I looked at the taycan but couldn’t do all electric yet with the type of driving I do.
