Is Escort releasing a new detector anytime soon?

I heard about the redline ex-c but that’s about it.

This is probably the worst possible time to try and launch a new product.

Existing RD’s won’t ship for a month on Amazon since they’re not important household items.

Heck VR just shut down and is no longer selling the V1’s they just launched since people in Ohio (Escort included) are being told to stay home.

Maybe once things settle down and people are able to actually go to work again, but definitely not now while everyone’s at home...

That makes sense, and thank's for responding to me @Vortex.

Escort is never very open about upcoming products. Their MO the last several years has been to just polish some of the turds they already have and add wifi in a "c" model. Some kind of a Redline 360 model with a new antenna design, improved range, and better and more consistent K filtering would be great. Many users are also wanting a 6 head unit for their laser shifter systems as well. Their new ownership and lack of vision is what holds them back now. At one time they were a leader in the game, today I would put Uniden, V1, and Radenso ahead of them.

Tbh I am glad I sold my escort redline ex and purchased the new Valentine, as it really blows it away in terms of performance.

I ordered a counseled display for my V1G2 over a week ago via fax. It took about a week for them to fill my order. I had the OLD display (2003) did not work with the new V1. I saved a little money I here the new one will cost over $50.

Escort has already stated that there will not be a Redline 360. I hope this is wrong, however, it seems like the M4-based "Max" platform is the horse they are going to ride.

When you say “new” that usually means repackaged with Escort...
I have to agree with you on this. If you look at the progression of the Max, to the Max2/MaxII, Max360, and Max360c, Escort just adds some additional features with a similar level of performance. I will say they have improved the BSM filtering over time.

I have never owned the original Redline, but (from what I have read), the Redline EX also adds some additional features, but the radar detection performance has actually declined for “traditional” radar guns versus the original Redline.

I own a Max360c, and it is basically a Max360 with wi-fi capabilities in a different case/design.

My best guess would be that the next hardware change by Escort might be a minor functional update to the "c" models to allow 5GHz wifi since they now only work with 2.4GHz. I see on ERF that this continues to be an area of customer inquiry.
Other than that (plus add the quarantine), and it is very quiet over there.

Maybe but unlikely. Escort is a company today that seems like they are treading water right now, with internal challenges and no vision for the future. Sales will continue for a period given there strong brand name, but then...

One thing they can do is fix the MRCD detection on the 360c. It will see the MRCD signal but it falsas like crazy, I had to shut it off. When I go over to Staten Island I'm still covered because all the speed cams are in the Escort Live data base.

Everyone is having problems with MRCT / MRCD.
If they are working on the issue and don’t have any hardware limitations they may make improvements.
Historically, they have been ‘slothish’ and secretive.
If you like their equipment and services then be content. You have options. My Wife has latched onto my GT because it learns and is quiet. She’s not bothered about apps and range which is fine as long as she doesn’t get into a disco party or anymore of those we took your picture, don’t you look nice, send us money photo op moments.

Maybe they could finally add the camera on Van Cortlandt Park South in front of Parish Hall in the Bronx. Been there for six months already, Waze reports it, it is there, neither Escort Live nor my DualPro 360 db has it, and it doesn't detect it.

Are you sure it's turned on. If they take it off line they remove it from the data base.

My Uniden R3 & R7 see the MRCD signal very well. At the same time you get a voice warning "MRCD AHEAD" and if you are exceeding the sped limit you get "You are over speed limit of 25MPH" VERY COOL. I think the speed limit must be in the Uniden data base so you get that extra warning.
