I am still waiting to have a good Ka alert before i declare the Gen2 the best thing since sliced bread.
“All was quiet on the western front” today. Not a peep with CFs in logic mode (small l)- approx ~ 23 miles. Too early to tell but it appears if the perfect storm (the BSMs that are problematic ) manifests itself all at once, things could be noisy, if not, then quiet. A few pics below of my typical daily drive.

I had a close call with a county sheriff the other day that was traveling on the other side of a 2- lane road using CO/K-band (maybe low freq.)... I got an alert approximately 2 sec. before he came into view rounding a bend... I was running full logic mode (L) at the time and was traveling above the Savvy setting... I did not want to use A or little ( l ) mode due to the quietness of Full logic (L) mode. K-band seems to take a serious hit using (L) mode... I decided to try Custom Frequencies (CF) :

Mode: Little ( l )
K-band : 24.085 - 24.210
Ka band: 34.620 - 35.700

I've been running the above settings for about 4 days with no increase in BSM or falsing... very quiet so far but I haven't run across any K threats yet so that will be the true test...

Added: I'm running "Rev C board"...so far no problems...

I’ve had 2 straight days of quiet on logic mode with Ka CFs. I can definitely tell it’s not any worse with CFs on with stationary K falses (store fronts) than having CFs off, and I think if it’s noisy otherwise, you are near one of the vehicles VR has listed as being a problem with BSM punch-throughs. I’ve had quiet and noisy days with CFs off, and I’ve had quiet and noisy with CFs on.

@aocsgil I think the conclusion of many is running in Advanced Logic is very dangerous if K is a threat in your area. It’s like running Auto mode on some Escorts that neuter K range down to around 20%. For me, unless you are pointing directly at a store front (turning in an intersection) or in a shopping center parking lot, Logic mode is fairly quiet running parallel to stationary K falses (store automatic doors). And logic mode is full power K range with muting for weak K signals but it still visually alerts and then beeps when it gets higher in the vertical meter bar. I believe K verifyer just delays the initial alert a second or so due to filtering.

K-band seems to take a serious hit using (L) mode...
How did you run your Gen1? I’m guessing in C mode with a 3-second mute on initial K encounters. If so, and you were comfortable with that, then Little L (Logic) mode would probably suit you better. Otherwise you’ll need to change your reactions in Big L (Advanced Logic) mode. It’s not that K takes a hit so much as L suppresses weaker alerts until it feels like it should go ahead and let them through, which gives you less of a lead-up and required you to react more instead.

@Deacon... I knew there would be less warning time, just wasn't expecting it to be that close... I'm still adjusting to the Gen2.
So far I really like it, it's a killer on Ka-band... there are some options that I'd like to see that I have mentioned in another thread but overall it performs well.
I do have "Rev. C board" and so far no problems. I am not real concerned about it because I know that VR will take care of it should a failure occur... thanks for your insightful comments and perspective...

@Deadhead1971... Just curious, did you make any changes to K-band CF's?

Yeah, be super careful with K band and Advanced Logic mode. I wouldn't run it if you face any I/O K band at all and I'd even be wary on C/O only just due to short alerts coming around corners and such. Try logic mode and use an app to deal with the falses.
