as it is, running waze and JBV1, for the data concious, you are pulling in the data twice.
One of the advantages of running waze for RLC's etc, it that you will be notified if they are on your route, as opposed to JBV1 which will notify if in your area...

I don't know what you mean there. I'm notified it's on my route, on the alert map with a count down to target and 10 degrees failsafe either side. And earlier than Waze does.

I guess depending where you drive, and how dense the RLC's , speed cameras, etc are in the area. I get notifications of RLC's that I wont encounter on my route

This is fixed MRCT being used for speed enforcement and not RLC? Do you have any pics of the cameras? Any idea if they're being added to Uniden and Escort's GPS databases?

That's even more obvious than our Redflex vans. The Mk1 eyeball detection system should deal with those.

With Escort they are in the data base. They added MRCD detection to my 360c but it's not that good, I shut it off. Loads of false alerts but on Staten Island all the speed & red light cams are stationary so your covered. The Uniden can detect MRCD, it's not that bad. The Uniden data base is updated about 3 times a year so it may or may not be in the data base but you do get an MRCD signal warning. As for my new V1 that I have about 3 days, I haven't tried it on Staten Island yet but I don't think it will protect you against red light & speed cams. In the interview with Vortex Radar Mike Valintine said that MRCD will be added to the new V1 in the future.

It’s a science project and he’d like to add it in the future, but he doesn’t have access to it in Cincinnati and doesn’t favor using outside non-payroll beta testers.

I hope he tackles it, but it’s not a slam dunk.

Start a GoFundMe page to pay for a V1 engineer to spend time north of the border. Tell them there's a science fair there.

Mike Valentine runs his company the old fashion way. He didn't sell any new V1's for almost a year while he developed the new V1. In the business world that's very rare. Do you think Escort or Uniden would have done that? I don't think so. It's great to see a privately owned company do well.

Did some runs against two MRCT speed cams here in NYC with the V1G2 with K-verifier ON and OFF

Did a few passes against two MRCT radar speed cameras. Windows closed, V1 mounted high and tight left of the rvm.

1st cam: approx 24.083 frequency
- 1. K with verifier on and A mode
- 2. K with verifier on and l mode
- 3. K with verifier off and A mode

2nd cam: approx 24.119 frequency
- 1. K with verifier on and A mode
- 2. K with verifier off and A mode

With the first camera there were only one to two 1/6 strength hits abeam the camera going towards it and one beep to no beeps away. With verifier off A LOT of K band signals appeared and with a 1-2 block alert distance albeit the amount of K falses from other sources will really make the ride noisy in an effort to detect the cameras. I will post up the JBV1 logs tomorrow

With the second camera pretty much the same things happened.

Wow....New Yorkistan is even worse than I thought!! Big Brother on steroids. 25 MPH speed limit is crazy.

Curious, did WAZE provide any warnings?
Waze does alert you from the speed camera but not from the MRCD that on the vehicles.

Thank you for your test. I was going to go over to Staten Island & test the V1 Gen2 myself but I know the result. I wouldn't use my old V1 in NY for this reason and it looks like the same is true for V1 Gen2.

What's crazy is the proposed 20 mph limit in our capital, and not just the CBD.

I really hope mrcd performance is good or gets actually implemented with an OTA update if need be.

Don't want to be in the same boat as R7 autolockouts... 😂

I’d trust VR far more than Uniden to deliver as promised.

Yea 25 is a joke with the Vision Zero crap the major put out. They will have 600-700 cameras in the city I think by the end of this year. They're popping up everywhere. Wherever they can stick a camera, they will do it.

Waze will only to the stationary cameras as shown in the vid. As another member here said, it won't to the mobile ones. I have to go back onto the Waze forum in the moderator section (I am one) and push for timed mobile speed camera traps

Don't you mean with verifier off?
