I'm curious if those who've invested into the system (like myself) would do so all over again.
I won't vote on the poll until I see some other responses, because I don't want to sway the results one way or the other.
My goal isn't to stir up any controversy or say which system is better for your given situation. I simply want to know if people are generally happy or if they have buyers remorse.

First, let's get this out of the way. As a lot of you know, I had a bad accident at work back in September and damn near broke my right leg. At the time I had already placed an order for my G2 duals for my Boss 302. They weren't in stock at that time so I was waiting for them to come in just as I got hurt. I didn't know how much work I was going to miss or if I was going to have to have surgery or whatever. Jag texted me to let me know that my order had arrived and I told him about my accident and that he could sell my system to someone else till I found out what was going to happen with my injuries. He told me how sorry he was and asked me for my address so he could send me a get well card. A few days later I get a note from the post office telling me I had a package I had to sign for, so I went and got it. Jane and I opened it up and Jag had sent me my TMG dual G2 setup anyway as a get well gift! I'm sure a lot of you will automatically think this is why I voted yes, but it's not! We have tested my system over and over even against the DE and DEC, and it has held it's own time after time against several ALP systems that we were testing on the same day and time! I also have a real world save in Va. of all places! I have since purchased 2 more heads and a splitter cable for the rear and next I'll be getting 2 of the new VPR heads and CPU. Does TMG still need some work? Hell yes! They need to get after the DE guns and learn as many of them as they can! I'll tell you this, if you get shot with any gun they cover, it will jam the hell out of it! If laser starts popping up in my area and I have to buy another system [or 2] you can rest assured I'll be calling @Jag42 and getting him to hook me up again! BTW, his customer service is second to none, just ask anyone he has dealt with!

Stinger is not as up to date as ALP/TMG so skip, as for K40..... shouldn't even be in the poll. Avoid that at all costs

@Kennyc56, that's a very spot-on statement!
I believe there are 2 equally important parts of a product as a whole: the product itself, and the customer service that should come with it. I am one of those that had a CPU failure recently, and @Jag42 took care of it immediately. We communicated directly over the phone, got a plan going on and the replacement was on its way as soon as I dropped mine in the UPS store. He also suggested some steps to take in order to isolate the problem.

Thanks for the kind words ! TMG has a very very low return rate, and 95% of our customers are very happy with the stellar real world performance. Although it may seem TMG has a lot of defected cpu's and heads, because 75% of the sales do come from this forum. We have addressed all of the concerns of issues on the platform, and back our warranty up. The turn around time on our warranty is 3 days or less, not weeks. We are always innovating, and working on acquiring more DE and LTI variants. Our VPR head is now patent pending.

Faulty equipment occurs in any industry. The important thing is how it's been handled by the vendor/seller. I was not happy my unit failed, but I was very happy with your response to it.

Back in time I did purchased a high-end USB 3 storage device with stellar rating and customer reviews. I have owned an older model of it and was very pleased. Anyhow, the new one arrived totally dead. Customer service was great and got a replacement within few days. It works today, after 6+ years of heavy/daily usage. So the fact that a piece turns faulty does not mean the whole product is not worth the investment...

Two things for me are what I was initially sold on: All the positive customer feedback and not having to deal with DE in Arizona.
Would I buy again? Too soon to say, as I've only had the system for two months and haven't had any real world saves yet. I have concerns about the Stalker PsT that have been reported, but I don't expect weekly or monthly algo updates. We'll see where we are at 6 months after purchase.
My tests with an old school LTI Marksman were positive and consistent, although I can get PT when within 100ft. Of course, the beam is so narrow at that point that it's likely my dual head setup isn't seeing the beam. I'm not sure how a dual head ALP would fair in the same situation. But if I can only get PT at that distance, it's already effective enough because at that point I'd basically be sitting on top of a cop.

I think TMG did fulfill at least part of the original mission, which is to be good enough for most people. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the ALP, and it’s not as bulletproof against the toughest guns, but the reality is that for most people in the US TMG is all they really need. The rest of the mission being eminently affordable hasn’t really worked out, with the most basic 2-head system starting at $630. I’m sure the idea is to try to get you to go for a quad system at just under $900, but that’s not so much affordable as it is “not as bad as ALP”.

If I were looking to buy and had the money, I’d go ALP just because it’s the ultimate. If I had a lot of money but not all the money, and I faced legitimate laser threats often enough to matter, I’d go TMG and be fine with it, I think.

I got my TMG for my wife's car because we don't use her car to travel long distance. Mostly from Illinois to Ohio and back and wanted laser protection for us. For her daily drive the TMG CPU is taken out because there's no laser guns used in the area we are in. Though laser is only used on the highway in Illinois that I know of. I purchased this for the value in the beginning stages when it marketed in the US and the testing seen on YouTube and the other testing in the US. This information made me decide on purchasing this unit plus, I like to try new counter measures. I recently payed more for the setup I have now because I purchased the newest VPR CPU and sensor. I didn't mind paying extra for the update because I'll take the added protection when we go driving. I rather have protection then nothing at all. To me it's worth it.
I have a full ALP system in my other car which we take to go long distance driving and it is well well worth it and I fully trust it for my protection.
All in all... TMG and ALP are worth it.

I feel the same way! The last thing I'm going to do is bash ALP! My testing partner @VariableWave has a killer ALP system that I get to drive with while he tries his damndest to punch holes in it just like he does his own TMG setup and mine! We are relentless in our efforts to make all of them as bulletproof as possible! Whenever we find a weak spot, which we have with BOTH systems, we keep working with positioning and such to fill the holes till they are as perfect as they can be. We will be all over it this weekend testing at my house again, I can't wait!

I like how compact the TMG setup is. Running single cable with splitter (duals) through firewall to a single CPU, +12V and your golden.

I get how some enjoy the modular aspect of ALP. To each their own. I like both companies for unique characteristics.

If i was driving a company vehicle or rental, id go with TMG.

If i had my lambo (one day) and wanted a hidden control interface etc, Id lean toward ALP.

I prefer the ALP alert tones though i understand you can modify TMG via an app. Havent read too much into this.

I answered yes to TMG but I have a few reservations.

Alp is more expensive but is definitely worth it if you can foot the bill. Especially in areas where Dragoneye is a potential threat (like a city that is likely to consider Dragoneye). Sure, it has its quirks but it's undisputed as the bulletproof option.

Now, when I bought my TMG system, I very well knew the risks of such a new system. And on a weekly budget of $200, I was essentially broke at the time and was sick of being pulled over to the same lidar gun twice. It's saved me a good handful of times. I kept the limits of the system in mind and drove accordingly since Dragoneye is made here in Atlanta. Jared is a great guy and it's well known for being a breeze to work with. Were I to have the ability to pony up for ALP, that's where I'd head but for a good 75% of users here, TMG would well enough for them. Especially for something like the wife's car where you won't be traveling in it. But, for example, Ohio with it's DragonCam rear shots, ALP is your answer until TMG is able to improve more. TMG was released really early in development due to popular demand and now it's having to play catch up which is totally reasonable if you consider how little time TMG has been acquiring guns vs ALP.

Hope to see TMG grow in the coming months and years.

I was one of the early adopters and it has come a long way. Like any new system it has growing pains and advances as time goes on. I mean ALP is what it is now but it wasn't on day 1 or day 500 either... And no I'm not biased I have both read my signature! :)
