Uniden R7 1.29 Firmware can be shared now (See attached)

Just purchased and have been running my R7 for a week now and although it's not as quiet (no auto lockouts) as my max 360c it seems to be better than the R3 I had been testing. For me I can use it as a daily driver, however my wife likes little to no falses, so she will stick with her max 360c. I have noticed the sensitivity to be a bit better on the R7 as others mention, but most of my driving is on flat open roads and expressways, so both perform well in my opinion. FYI, really like the arrows on both!

Does the 1.29 version still false on SUV Cadi's from the front? I was followed by one this morning for 2-3 miles and gave me frequencies from 24.165, 24.167, 24.170, 24.171 and 24.172. No other K band source was around at that time. BTW, using 1.24 FW.

Yes. Also Acura MDX. 24.192. I would say it’s worse then before. I run City mode. Before, nothing. On 1.29, every time. I am actually considering rolling back. The only reason I don’t is Quiet Ride set to 90 (how I run it) keeps the noise away except for the two volume 1 beeps.

Not on mine since update.
Many Escalades were huge falses, now I can't find one.
Considerably quieter on 1.29.
After locking out a few more signals the narrower lockout frequency range misses.

I keep mine in QR setting of 85 mph too. I rolled back to 1.24 after a short test with known door openers with the 1.29. 1.29 keeps giving me 2 muted beeps every time I get a K band signal after a drop signal. Unlike the 1.24, I get only 2 muted beeps as along as the new signal is detected within a min after the signal drops.

Is there a difference in packages with the Canadian and US version with SUV Cadi's? Maybe that can be the difference on why you don't get the alerts versus those here in the US?

Sort of doubt it though.
I can't explain why my BSMs have dropped off.
MRCD off.
Rear 80%
K filter on
TSF on
K block on
K Narrow
Mostly Adv K 40% in the city, hwy mode everywhere else
QR 50 kph
K band sensitivity seems the same as before but I will be testing on my course soon and against the same detectors to compare.

I might add for those of you who think 40% K leaves you exposed, 40% with all those above settings matched or beat the best moon shots on most sensitive settings for the Max II, Pro M and 9500ix.
50% clearly crushed the others.

Download the last installer software and instead of choosing the .bin file that came with it then select the new 129 .bin file.

Is it possible to have an audible sound indicator when the arrow switches from front to rear without voice ON?

I know they shrank the frequency band for lockouts, which is good, but does anybody know if they did anything to the mute radius as well? I've found that I'm having to go and lock out some door openers I already have stored when approaching from a different direction, which makes me wonder whether the mute radius has been reduced in this firmware.

Yep I've found myself locking out the same frequency almost at the same spot multiple times.

Finaly got my r7 this am, used vortex settings. Went to work and back and wow, mrcd is chatty. Had to turn it off

Same here. Turn that off if you don't need it...

On a related note, hey Theia? Where are you? It'd be awesome for us to all run with MRCD enabled and have a detector that can completely filter out false MRCD alerts and only alert when the signal is legit. This should make it SO much easier for people to find out and report when MRCD is being used in their area.

We need the ability for seperate MRCD and MRCT on/offs like on the Radenso and Genevo detectors.

Mazda CX-5's are now causing MRCD false, and any K false that falls near one of the MRCT channel frequencies causes an MRCD false as well
