New 2020 Nissan Rogue and I am unable to set cruise above 90 MPH. WTF!?!?! The other bummer is with the cruise set at 90, I'm only doing 88 MPH by my GPS, tested using 2 sources.:mad::mad:

Id be taking it right back to the dealership.

My educational background would say that it has something to do with all the sensors and stuff. They designed Adaptive cruise to work up to 90. But even that is off. Brutal.

Maybe something you can pull a wire on.

That was my thought as well. Adaptive cruise has a top speed but I wouldn’t expect that to apply to regular cruise.

Forgot, no adaptive cruise. Company lease, not sure that would fly. The 2017 Equinox I had would work at 95, never tried anything faster.

This makes me curious, as I don't think I've ever set the cruise control higher than 85 on any car. Above 85, I have always wanted to be in complete control.

I bet my old E30 would hold any speed with it's mechanical cruise control. It was so whacky; there was a mechanical linkage that held the throttle cable at a specific spot. The gas pedal would be weightless from off to the point where the cruise held the throttle cable.

Put the cruise control in manual mode as others have stated. You are likely using adaptive cruise which tops out at 90 on most cars.

It is the low budget model, not equipped with adaptive cruise. Can not set at all if above 90, cannot increase using + above 90. Only other option would be to get taller tires and fool the cruise. ;)

Get a BMW and then you can set adaptive cruise to 110. Don’t forget to add on the turn signal package...

Friend has an Audi Q8, no limit on the set speed.

It's basically the "Top Speed" that this particular manufacture has decided to allow the cruse to operate at.

ECU Reflash I'd suspect would be the only option to changing this. I'd suggest that you do some searching on a Nissan Rogue Forum to see if this issue has been mentioned and if they have any workarounds for it.

On top gear there was an episode with the GTR talking about it being limited to 90 on the road but when you drove on a track it automatically disengaged this limiter...

If you bought a JDM GTR supposedly... wonder why Nissan is gung ho about 90 when most manufacturers in japan limit to 110-111.

Personally I just don't use the cruise control. I enjoy driving, I don't want anything to take away that joy even if it is something so simple as cruise control to give my right foot a rest. As a result, my right foot is a huge muscular beast.

My Infiniti Q50S (made by Nissan) has the same limitation, as did my previous G37X. It's not a glitch, it the way Nissan designed it.

And it's been like that for most Nissans for the last 10 years at least.

I use cruise control constantly. Not to give my foot a rest, but to avoid speeding tickets, and to give passengers(myself included) a nice smooth ride.
Can't stand 'on the gas, off the gas' type driving.

Personally adaptive cruise and lane keep assist is a God send when you use a car for basic transportation.... I use mine constantly.

but to avoid speeding tickets
That is Number one reason that I'm here on this forum - to avoid speeding tickets. Yes, cruise control would aid me in going slower but where is the fun in that?

and to give passengers(myself included) a nice smooth ride.
I have a magical foot that has the same abilities. I'm thinking about renaming my foot "Merlin the magical muscular beast"
Actually I joke about it but smoothness is critical in driving and something that I practice every time I'm behind the wheel.

I have a pet peeve at the opposite end:
School zone speed limit is 20 for which cruise would be helpful but no car I’ve driven lets you set cruise that low.
