Utah - Don’t forget about K band

Just wanted to post this to remind people that K band is still out there in Utah, so be alert.
OREM City Police, brand new car.
Stalker K band dual.

I’ve also run across K band with Duchesne Sheriff’s SUV’s.

I can definitely confirm Orem is reusing the old K Band systems. Most of the time they run moving I/O or parked C/O. I've almost never seen them driving with C/O.

@fireparamed - Do you know anything about that suspended-mounted dash camera they have? What make, model, resolution, etc it is?

I’m guessing (but can’t confirm at the moment) that it’s the Axon fleet 2 dash cam. It would have front and rear facing lens and audio. WiFi transmission of buffered video to a secure storage cloud. Lots of bells and whistles. It’s even possible to get softwareTo allow it to “read” License plates for stolen cars abs registration issues.

Cache County Sheriff, Brigham City, and Mantua also confirmed. I’ve only seen Mantua run radar when mobile. It’s usually LIDAR hell through there.

Also if your familiar with the Mantua trap and location they usually sit, be aware I just saw them above Mantua not far from where that speed sign used to be, monitoring South bound traffic coming from Logan. I saw that a few years ago, but there must be recent return to that tactic after a long hiatus.

Add Logan City and North Park Police (North Logan/Hyde Park) to the K band list. At times, North Park will patrol Highway 91 between Logan and Smithfield.
