Glad to hear it worked.

@DrHow sounds like you don't need to update now.
Still may update it and see if it becomes a sleepy brick before the 30 days is up. We need to know risk free, so to speak.

Escort updated my Max360c to firmware to 1.11 from 1.10 when I sent it in for service in late November.

Overall, I have to say firmware 1.11 is working well on my Max360c. I haven’t had any suspected sleeping incidents in the four weeks I have had it back, I have had no laser false alarms since I have had it back, and Escort fixed the “mute button” issue.

I did mention in my letter to Escort that the reason I have been running my Max360c segmented on Ka (2,5,8) was that I was getting strange Ka band false alarms within the first 2-5 minutes of turning it on (33.640 and 34.580 mostly) and then the weird false alarms would go away until I power cycled it again. That would occur about 50-70 of the time after turning on my detector at different and random locations. Anyway, that issue Escort was not able to “fix” on my Max360c, so I segmented Ka back to 2,5, and 8 to solve and eliminate those strange Ka false alarms.

I had a subscription years ago for my max 360
I just paid for a one month subscription. plugged in detector and it says that my subscription has run out.
what is my next step to allow me to update my unit?

thx790xxxxx

p.s. I realize I need to wait at least a half hr before trying to update
I wonder if that takes much longer on Sundays.

Max 360 updated Sunday for the first time in a while

what is a good way to test if it’s sleeping?
It seems ultra quiet so far.

Find a used Stalker Ka band portable, carry it with you. Test: 1.) on short under 15min drive, test it one or more times. 2.) on longer trips, test every 15minutes or so. If driving <8mph over, test every half hour. 3.) put the stalker in patrol mode every hour to freak out other drivers :), clock other vehicles and learn how radar works. These or other tests, will confirm yours is not sleeping.

4.) report non sleeping of 360c, verified with real radar, get ready for potential ridicule by those who have axe to grind against ER. :)

there are other ways to test. However, the above will help sooth your mind, yours is fixed. At some point you will use the Stalker less and less. Keep it handy for fun and learning LEO tactics.

As @DrHow states, you can pick up a used police radar gun to test out your Max360 if you suspect it is sleeping.

I have a Max360c, and it is a pretty quiet detector with very good BSM filtering so your Max360 may be working fine and working like it supposed to. I bought a Pocket Radar last year to travel with to verify “no sleeping” as it is a very small K-band source in addition to buying a used Stalker ATR for 34.7 and used Kustom Golden Eagle for 35.5, and I bought a K-band antenna for the Golden Eagle.

I live in the South East US where there a lot of Dollar General stores with K-band door openers where I travel, so I may pull into a Dollar General parking lot or other store with a K-band door opener if I don’t have my Pocket Radar with me if my Max360c is “too quiet”, but I haven’t had a sleeping incident on my Max360c since I sent it for service at the end of last year and the firmware was updated, and I am enjoying running the Max360c.
