That is fair. I'm just assuming if Radenso wants to use third-party data for marketing or proof of quality. I would think they would give testers enough time to get results back. No idea on how much time testers would need, but they know this is a busy time of year for people. Not trying to stir 💩 🙂

My memory wasn't vague on that actually. Jon said that Sept. 15, 2020

All I'm saying is things are getting pretty tight. If they, you and other are going to test before release, I would think you would need ample time to do so.
Your post makes the point that '...things are getting pretty tight.' implying there may not be enough time for '...you and other are going to test before release.', i.e., the end of 2020.

You are assuming testing has not already started.

I think you took it out of context. All I was trying to get across is we are close to expected release. I'm excited for test results. I hope there is enough time for certain third-party testers to get back results before release. If that is their motive to have third-party testers test before release, I would, and here is my initial assumption, assume they would give those testers enough time to get back test results. This whole release has all out panties in a wad!

You are correct. I took "All I'm saying is things are getting pretty tight" out of context.

All we need is a gps tracker on Vortex’s Audi. That would be a good tell if beta testing is under way.
During alpha test of military vehicle observation that climate and electronics made interior so warm that holders for water bottles needed to prevent items rolling about.
Installed. Work$ of art
Beta testing comment. Foot rests for climbing out of top hatch easily damaged and torn off...

If it’s not in production already it will never be released this year - it has to be completely designed - the only thing that could change is software. If it’s not completely designed it would be much better to say it may not be out this year so people don’t feel like they are being strung along
They were advertising their production RF hardware at the end of 2019, it's on one of their YouTube videos!

You would think it's close, who knows! Only time will tell with 2021 getting close!

Was there any error in that statement? We are very tight/close to release, if it does release in 2020. I personally like that everyone is so excited and counting down the days.

My last response (and everyone cheered)...

It is not getting too tight to complete testing if they have been testing for weeks, i.e., they have had 'ample time'.

Memory must have been vague. Jon and Randy specifically said there would be NO Beta Testers. All Beta testing will be done in house ONLY by Radenso Employees. Now if I remember correctly they basically said that before release to the public, reviewers would get a production unit to review.

This is correct. We want everyone to see how Theia works and compares to other detectors before pre-orders begin so we will be showing videos of us doing testing before hand. Then Vortex will let everyone know what he thinks with his Theia.

Yep, I think @Vortex in his last recent YouTube 2020 review said he will get early look after you all do your internal street work. We are all excited.

I anticipate other groups besides just Vortex being able to get an early look as well. Perhaps TXCTG due to their track record and relatively straight course.

If you want a NDA signing person close by in Indiana, send PM. Many long courses. I have a great course the mixes up to 9 fixed false locations, tons of traffic with BSM. plus Sheriff HQ close by (they will do C/O while parked). I have Four different radar systems, including a wicked HR. @GTO_04, IF you want would assist. I am thinking could get 2200-3k+ miles running in 30 days.

I could come by, no shipping required.

Very excited to hear the progress.

Excellent. Great idea. Maybe some of the folks like @Heywood and @Dukes in Canada too for MRCD testing?

@Jon at Radenso, would love to get an early look here in New Zealand to see how Theia goes against our low-powered Redflex k band photo radar. Both the Uniden R7 and V1G2 don't quite cut the mustard so to speak.

We really appreciate the offers but all beta testing is done in house by employees only. Thank you!

With any testing with groups we want to test with, we will have to be there in person.

Thank you!

Cool... If you want to do a short drive over here to Indy, we have that cool spot to test with. @GTO_04 I bet would also help. There are others in our IN/MWCTG. @Brainstorm69 would vouch for us. Unless there will only be one test group outing. Then his team would want to do.

Thanks, we appreciate it. We will probably be limiting it to one group.

Very excited about this! I know you plan on making a fully hidden unit after the dashboard model gets released. Any plans for some sort of add on for the dashboard model to have a remote display? Similar to what the Valentine has and also Escort had this for one of their past models. For the life of me I can't fathom why the radar detector industry continues the 1980's paradigm of hanging a large Christmas tree screaming "hey cops, hey thieves: radar detector here!!!!" from the windshield. Being able to fully dark it so it's just an unmarked, unlit black box and having a remote display somewhere subtle would go a long way. Of course it should be an optional add on for an additional cost, no issue with that at all.
