Normally I can turn on a v1, and unlike the escorts or ummm, nope i think just the escorts, it will alerts to a signal immediately. However, i was parked in front of a village Inn yesterday, when i pulled in it went crazy on K band coming from i'm guessing the alarm system.

When I was leaving I turned it on, and it was probably a good three seconds before it went crazy on K band again.

The only thing I can think of is since the custom sweeps is set at i think three dots before it alerts, maybe it takes that extra few seconds to get up to that point, ummmm IDK.

Custom sweeps only effect Ka-band, while muting options only effect X/K-band.

The muting options are time based (3,4,5,7,10,15,20,30) seconds, signal based (don't mute if the first signal detected is over 3 or later becomes greater than 5 dots), and direction based (mute rear antenna).

Even with the muting options enabled you'll still get a visual notification and bogey count, then an audible alert once one of the un-mute criteria is met.

Which mode are you running in (A, L, l, C, c, U, u)?

That had better be a big C if you are getting K band. :)
I suspect your K-band filtering time is set to 3 seconds.

Big C is K-band on, small c is K-band off. Hold the mute button to switch between the two. :)
Similarly, big U and small u do the same in euro configurations.

@Bossdad71 The V1 takes 15 seconds to boot up. You sure it wasn't just going through it's boot sequence? After that delay it will detect again.

@Bossdad71 The learning curve on the various V1 settings is pretty steep, but eventually you'll have them all memorized like a proper V1 zombie.

When Euro mode (big C) or logic mode (little l) is enabled then the muting settings take effect.

@Tallyho I just timed mine since it's sitting on my desk and in Euro mode with TMF enabled mine takes 11 seconds to boot and start alerting to my bushnell. ;-)
