There's the a curve and loads of vegetation, but there's also a small rolling hill there. I counted the frames back from the first chirp. From the first chirp, it is 11 frames (0.367 sec - assuming its 30 fps) for the Ranger vehicle to completely disappear from sight behind the sign on the left side of the video. If the Ranger because they're lower can see your vehicle under the sign, you can go 15 frames (0.5 sec) and then you'd be completely out of sight. You mention they always drive around with CO, so is it likely you encountered the one Ranger with a hair trigger for I/O on hard corners, where it doesn't make sense to use I/O. Roll all that together with it being a DFR7 and 35.5 off angle and I think it was CO.

Sorry to bring up a zombie thread. But...Pinnacle Mountain is the best. I've run the Ouachita Trail 50 five times. That's definitely some terrain. Also, as someone who works with park rangers, whatever explanation involves the least amount of effort on their part is the answer. C/O.

The DFR7 is not known for good 35.5 GHz detection. You need the R series for that!

Pinnacle Mtn is awesome, so much to do around the area. This is 100% C/O.
