Light diffusers and Lidar

So I'm sitting here staring out the window and my watch is reflecting sunlight onto the ceiling. When I moved, the reflection moved over the light diffuser that covers the florescent bulbs. My mental light bulb turned on and immediately wondered if anyone has ever looked at passive light diffusers and the effects on LIDAR. I doubt it would be very effective but I'm curious none the less.

Can't be worse than aluminum foil ;)

I believe you can find a thread where a similar concept is used with 3m tape (clear with the lines in it) as the diffuser. It did have some effect on Lidar.

So many other places to reflect LIDAR off a vehicle/person...
I agree, I think it's probably not that reliable regardless of rather it worked or not. But for $20 it might be fun to play with.

I have already done it on another member's car years ago. Don't waste your money.
