This is a two part question: one should be easy and straight forward the second might not even be possible.

1) As I've been playing with the TMG and JBV1 I've realized I want to pump all audio to my car stereo for maximum awareness. My current situation is that all audio comes over the phone and the scanner plays over the speakers via an aux connection. If I get a 3.5 mm aux to BT adapter I should be able to play the scanner audio over BT vs AUX then all audio (scanner, JBV1, music, calls) will come over as one. Is this something I should have JBV1 manage if it's able?

2) Assuming #1 works, I have an idea for audio ramping. Many songs are recorded to play different sounds over right or left or rear or front channels. Is this something that's accessible over BT? If so, I wonder if it would be possible to have the car speakers fade with the arrows? The idea being that an LEO approaching from the front is louder on the front speakers and vice versa when approaching from the back. I really can't take credit for the idea for the idea as it wasn't my own but the suggestion of having JBV1 handle the audio was.

Fantastic idea! Might be a bit tricky in those situations where the arrows are changing frequently.

I agree, would probably be best to never have any channel set at absolute 0 volume that way you would always have an audible alert from somewhere in the car.

You know, JohnBoy00 corrected me one time about the little white arrow that shows percentage of front / rear signal. That same mechanism could be used for front / rear fade maybe. :)

It's his baby and I hate to make requests as it's really up to him. I do think it would be cool however!

It's not possible to control radio front/rear speaker fade from a BT device. The best I could do would be to change left/right volume (similar effect to speaker balance) on the audio I play. I had given this some thought a long while back, and I think that trying to do it with "balance" would only lead to confusion (left is front or rear??), so I didn't give it a second thought.

Also, I don't think you can blend audio from two different BT sources on any head unit. I think you'd have to use CAI and keep the aux connection for your scanner to hear both over car radio.

Sorry for being dense, what is CAI?

Car Audio Interrupt option in JBV1. Enables hearing JBV1 audio on a radio set to any audio source.
Ok thanks, I'll play and see what I come up with.

I completely agree with not using left/right balance. That sounds horrible.

Personally speaking, If I get a Ka or Laser alert, I'm not going to listen to car speakers for what direction it's coming from, I'll be on the brakes and checking the arrows.

I agree it's always get to PSL first then assess the situation. It's not hard to glance at the V1, a CD, or your phone. It was just a cool supplement I was thinking about but it sounds like it's not executable in any usable fashion.

Now that my G37 is officially out of storage, I’m having a problem getting the Samsung to play sounds over BT through the stereo over BT. With the windows and sunroof open and the engine singing, you can’t hear the phone.
The phone shows up on the Infiniti as calls only and won’t stream anything. Did some searching and found a grom adapter, have tried connecting the iPhone to the car then the Samsung to the iPhone which also didn’t work. I’m thinking of going to the dealer to get the BT drivers and music box updated and I found this issue mentioned in an android forum which I’m going to try today after my hunny do list is done.

“How to get BLUETOOTH AUDIO from your PHONE to your NON NAVIGATION INFINITY - Download an app called Discord”

If anyone has suggestions or can point me to a thread... much appreciated.
Fairly certain I’m not the first to run into this but, haven’t stumbled on a work around so far.

LOL @ that suggestion from "Sideflare" to use Discord and his request of $6 via Paypal as a tip if it helped you.... HAHAHA. Discord audio sounds terrible when streamed as a phone call to the car. Ugh. He should pay us $6 as a fine for even having suggested that.

If you have a non-navigation head unit, you may want to look at picking up a new headunit and getting an OEM-fitting dash kit from Schosche or Metra. Depending on your vehicle they may have a Double-DIN or Single DIN kit. If it's double din, then you can fit any double-din touchscreen system.

The new Kenwood head units offer Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, in addition to Kenwood/JVC's proprietary iDATALINK Maestro system integration support. Maestro integration has been added to the newer Escort RADAR detectors, as well as K40. Hopefully more will support it in the future as well.

The new head unit will give you the streaming audio quality you want and with lots of new features.

I picked up a used Pioneer touchscreen for $170 this past December. Installation accessories including harness and mounting kit cost me another $25, so I was able to accomplish the upgrade for less than $200.

The add on thing gets complicated.
Don’t have Nav but there are controls for BSM and the hard drive (music box) boule in...
Have looked at some of the aftermarket Infiniti targeted devices and either they specifically my car is too old or people complain that the dont work well. If you can find a new Q car in the bone yard you can transplant it into my ‘11.
The discord app didn’t seem to do anything BUT the force CAI - Phone worked. Updating the cars BT & music box is still on the table. Maybe after this weeks trip (work) I can get up to the dealer. The one downside to the force CAI is it takes over the audio and you can’t play music or the radio...
Update - Tunin now works
JBV1 / Sound check Great Feature!

It just occurred to me that the doppler setting may help. Have you tried it?
