Hopefully Tom @BestRadarDetectors would take some input from some of us users, and take some of the playbooks from select other detectors out there. Wish we were able to see what is in the works at this time, as I don't think he has been sitting back and doing nothing. One thing though, a quicker I/O box that can communicate between devices and show multiple things. With ALP and NR control module only, the parking system does not alert if it is detecting some sort of radar source. Happens to me many of times, park the SUV and relying on the metering of distance isn't as some darn BSM or Automatic Door is present.

We are waiting for Escort GPS Patents to expire before we put out an optional display... Before the end of the year we will have something.. You will have to stay tuned.

Just wondering, exactly which GPS patents are they? Escort has several. Thanks in advance!

When a NR/ALP display becomes available, I will buy it. Immediately.

I’ve read this thread a few times now and only just picked up the specific mention of GPS. I’m intrigued by how a GPS patent expiry allows for ALP to make an optional display?

Existing Patents have nothing to do with a display but we want a display with the ability to mark and ignore alerts from the display. Until the patent issues are resolved we cant proceed. We are watching carefully all the existing patent lawsuits against Uniden & Radenso.

I'm also in the camp of wanting a system without any in-car controllers/displays so that it is completely stealth including being undetectable by SPECTRE.

I think Net Radar DSP is the only one so really good to see it is available particularly in this day and age with apps. I'm surprised the other manufacturers don't offer a phone app as an alternative for those who don't want controllers/displays aside from the additional cabling and potential holes that are required. Though I can see advantages and disadvantages for both.

I also use my phone for controlling the GoPro so even if I have to buy a separate phone for the Net Radar I'm fine with that. Is there any particular phone brands/models that work best with Net Radar? I know some phones are not the best at blue tooth.

I have a Samsung J3 that works well on android 6. My Samsung A5, running android 8, had bluetooth connectivity issues at times.

I have a Samsung 5 I picked up for $50 a couple years ago that runs my DSP and ALP. I don’t use it as a phone only with Bluetooth to run my CM

Will the display also provide control set functions on the jamming side or will both the control set and display operate separate?

Good to know it's still in the works Tom. Just to clarify, will the proposed display interface only with Net Radar or with ALP jammers as well?

Will the NR also be suitable for use in Europe? MRCT Gatso?

Did the display idea piddle out? I'd buy the complete ALP and DSP radar system (front and rear) TODAY, if it had a dedicated display... I really don't want to mess with a BT connection and use my phone or have a second phone that's "semi permanently" mounted on my dash somewhere...

Display being developed was canceled.

Aww man, sorry to hear that. Thank you for the update though.
I was not happy with it and a few dealers who were involved did not like it. We are looking into another one but who knows what will happen. We are always looking for ways to improve the system. Not everything we work on makes it to production.

Very sorry to hear it was cancelled. DSP remote with a display would be a winner, I like everything about Netradar but need a display, Bluetooth won’t cut it.
