Interesting. Haven't checked their site in a bit. When i got mine, the max 2 wasn't on the list. Just the ex, 360, and 360c. Idk if I'd trust updating my detector either if required. It works, id hate to update it and run into some shenanigans like the 360 lockups. I'll look into it thou
It works on the Max. I have two, and tested them both with ZW. These are not Max2 or the silly named “platinum“ model. I bet they will work just fine with newer Max models.

Like most things in life, there is usually a trade off. With the ALP, you get 95% likely coverage, but at an installed cost of around $2,100. With the ZW5, you get perhaps 80% the coverage, at about 40% of the cost. Kinda like the difference between a $300 detector and one that costs $500+

Which in Dragon Eye country like Georgia especially the Atlanta area that 40% of cost is NOT going to save you money after you get tickets/arrests that will kill that price savings quick! Confirm what is used in your area and your budget, etc. and go from there!

thank you for the tests. I own the ZR5s and have 4 heads on the front. These are integrated with my RL360c. So I feel good about my system because of your good work testing. Thanks guys!

Depending on your car you can install yourself, I have on every one of mine so my install cost is a tube of silicone and a couple zip ties... Or if not comfortable passing wires through the firewall, have a stereo shop do that for like $100 and then do the install of the heads yourself, half the time your install will be better than what the shop gives you.

Given that Escort has put out a firmware update for the ZW5 since this test was performed, has anyone tested the ZW5s with the FW update? If so, any difference?
