Red display now only for you guys?

wondering what everyone is going to do now for display color. Are you going to stay with the default red? How important is that now? Has Uniden confirmed a major problem with burn-in??

I've been switching every few weeks between Amber/Red/Blue. No signs of burnin yet. (only in use for about 5 months, tho)

I have an R3 from the first batch for sale from BRD and no burn in. Run red to match Pontiacs red lighting, also dim by day and dimer by night. Maybe that's why I have zero burn in. Checked again while I was updating. Just like new.

Had my R3 for just over a year now. No burn in at all. Been using red most of the time.

Mine didn’t develop any display problems until I tried the new white setting.

I have an R3 out of the first batch. I’ve always run it blue to match the interior lighting. Bright and dimmer until 1.37 and then Bright/Dark since on the time schedule. No burn in that I can see.

In addition to the pixel shifting for some parts of the screen, Vortex said they reduced the maximum brightness a bit to help as well.

I’ve had zero issues and have had mine on blue for over a year on mixed brightness settings.

Blue and White were the main culprits in my opinion. Running those 2 colors on Bright did the damage on mine.

I like Amber a lot more than Red. Red is hard to see!!

I used White when ridding my bike on the day time as it was the easiest to see, I guess it is red from now on

Blue and White were the main culprits in my opinion. Running those 2 colors on Bright did the damage on mine.

I think white is the worst culprit. I've had mine on blue (and almost only bright) without too much burn-in. But I do have some. Just nothing that bothers me.

I have some burn in on my R3; whatever.... I ran it blue bright during the day until I recently went to amber.

I tried the red this morning, didn’t like it. Went back to amber.

I have the dark mode alert set to bright. I’ll likely leave it in dark always now that I’ll be able to see the screen when I get an alert.

Burn in or not, I ain’t runnin’ red, except for maybe red lights- it’s too intense

Pink actually isn’t too “girly”; it’s looks pale orange- might try that

Blue is the best

I have first batch R3. I ran blue and experienced some burn in. I run red now, usually on dark mode or just run my R1. No issues on R1 w/ purple.

I've been running green/blue/purple....blue more lately. I'm going to try red; no burn-in yet and one of the first batch when they were released to the public.
