Hi,

Have thought about getting a laser jammer for awhile but never pulled the trigger. Now a friend of mine is upgrading to an ALP and has offer to give me his old HP 905 dual setup.
After doing a bunch of reading I was wondering if it is even worth installing since it doesn't protect against the newer guns. I know it wont protect against Dragon , but what other guns does it not work with and does anyone now if these are used in Edmonton and around Alberta. Is it worth being partially protected if I am aware? Thanks for any advise or info.

For the most part they would protect you against the Edmonton Police since they mostly use Ultralytes. However I have seen them use the Stalker XS also (I forget if Blinder can tackle this gun). Outside the city limits you would be completely unprotected. And of course, you would have zero protection against the DragonCam (Photo lidar).

Mounties, Sheriffs, or both using DCs?

Thanks for the info. I knew I would have no protection against DragonCam, but did not realize I would have no protection outside of Edmonton. What type of laser are the RCMP and sheriffs using?

Reminds me of a few years ago, me and a buddy were going through Millet in his BMW on the way to some golf course in the middle of no where and he got a photo radar ticket.

"It was like we were parked and they walked up to my car and took a picture of my plate"

Lol. DE is deadly.

Yup 2 biggest threats in, and around Edmonton.
MRCD
Dragon eye.

The Sheriffs also shoot K band through known K band false zones to catch anyone who runs a non GPS equipped detector.

Good thing all the red light camera intersections are well marked, or we would have to run MRCT all the time as well.

Dont buy HP905.
You will never know when a cop will have Laserally, Stalker XS, RLR or XLR or Dragoneye Full Size or Dragoneye Compact. All these guns will instantly punch through Blinder and can be found all across Alberta. So with HP905, you will still drive the speed limit and have fear of a pull over.
Not worth any money.
