Does TMG have a fail-safe system performance check in place so that users can be certain that the system is functioning at 100% normal operation?

For example, many detectors will cause a fault code if they are out of spec.

Does TMG have anything in place to ensure the user is alerted to any compromises in the system?

Onmy blinder905 i had a sensor go out , never knew it and got nailed with a ticket , after that i put it in parking mode and it went wild , unpluged each sensor till i found the bad 1 !!!! I since then ck mine about every 2 wks now , im guessing the ports where in series so when 1 went out it knocked all out (not cool) as i was able to run with that sensor removed till i got a new one !! Hope they are paralleled so if 1 sensor fails the other is working , unless its the 2 sensors with the jumper wire to run 2 sensors off 1 port !! Just a thought !!

Tmg 1 diode head should be able to jam non VPR very easily, and maybe long range on DE. The system will come with a 2 year warranty, but maybe by the first of the year, i will carry 1-2 more years on my own. As of right now there is not a warning, i use a IR camera app and a Laser tester monthly. These heads are like tanks.

good to know, so this is one of the things you need to consider in the ALP vs TMG decision. ALP does fault checking so in theory it should tell you if there is a failure.

Might need to do some fault checking testing in the future.

Counter-measure self-test, testing?

Well yes and no all i can say here ..

is there can be
Situations where alp is disarmed and you do not
Know.

There are lots of varianles in a fully functioning system Especially when GPS triggers are involved

So
There that to consider too
I think we need to create an RDF CHECKLIST
To
Do wkly or at least every 2 wks.

A system can diagnose for you but not 100%
Accurately. ... just ask Escort users.

I like your thinking in terms of what we can do for users today, and a checklist may be the best we can do.

In the long term, there should be significant pressure placed on the manufacturers to get this right and not leave these kind of operational vulnerabilities on unsuspecting users.

We don't pay for surprises. :pullover::downsowned:
