Flying below the radar!
I haven't gone to court on the lidar ticket from May and I almost added to it! I had been following these LLH forever and saw an opening. Looked at WAZE and saw nothing. Got on it and I caught a glimmer and he hit the trigger. I am pretty sure I crapped myself. Luckily he stayed put. I need to put my GPS to my VIOFO back up but, I was well over 80.

Edit: Mods move to appropriate forum section. Wrong video for wrong section.

Was the Lidar, City, County, or State? If it was City or County, check to see if your State allows moving it to State Court (breaks the incentive of the Judge having his jurisdiction getting the revenue). Also speak with an Attorney to see if they recommend that in your State.

Worth looking into. It would probably move the court date farther out if that is of any interest, and who knows, the officer might end up with a conflict for the State Court date and not show. If you can't question him because he is not there, they can't violate your rights and many judges dismiss the case because you showed.

It was state. Already have attorney hired and he feels confident with my driving record that he can get court leniency.

Sounds like a plan.

I had no idea a traffic ticket could be moved out of City or County Court to State Court until something very bazaar happened to me. Mine was with the City, took 15 months to get the State Court date, then the City Officer that actually stopped me didn't show up, just the Sector Officer he had write up the tickets while he went back to his moonlighting job directing lunch hour traffic for a restaurant. The Judge asked the Officer present if he stopped me or witnessed any of the alleged violations, the officer answered No twice, the Judge dismissed all 4 tickets. I had to waste 5 hours that morning, but it ended up being worth it because one of the violations would have been 6 points, Failure to follow a Police Officer's traffic command.
