My wild-ass armchair guess: Bel will offer the first remote M5. I have no inside info and obviously am not under NDA :)

If you look at the label (and the unit on the bottom) it looks a LOT like the bottom of a Max......

Look at the label, definitely NOT a remote unit!!

and look at Testing Description:

" The device’s performance was investigated in the range 11.7
-
12.2GHz. The radar detector was powered by a variable power
supply. Since the device is a hand
-
held u
nit, the emissions were maximized around the three
orthogonal axes and the maximum reading was recorded.

My guess max equivalent.

Label wasn't showing for me a second ago. Maybe it will aesthetically look better/different than its Escort equivalent, a la the Redline/Magnum.

Looks like it will be a Beltronics branded Max probably. PRO Series has run its course so they will probably release a Max equivalent to replace the Pro-500 and probably replace the PRO-300 with a Escort passport equivalent.

It does have a GPS chip. That's mentioned in the FCC info. A Bel Max derivative?

If they do make a max and max2 equivalent will the fcc id be the same?
?and the gps schematic is for the max2 equivalent that may come down the road?

So Beltronics is getting their own version of the Max. Big deal. I thought it was much bigger news that it is apparently being made specially for Radar Roy! :p

Good news, i was worried the Bel side would be dropped. Adding the famed M5 shows they will keep the line for a while.
Plus with the updated fw ppl are testing now on the max it may be a better detector on Bels side.

Hopefully Bel uses a sensible name unlike the Escort "Max" which isn't really max.

Guesses on if it will be a Vector or Pro series name? .... Bel Vector Pro, Bel Pro Tech, Bel Pro 550, or will it be Bel Pro Supreme, Ultimate, etc.

I just looked at my GT-7's FCCID and confirmed that this is it.

I know it's probably pretty obvious now, but nonetheless. ;)
