I rely on my TomTom for that when driving in unfamiiiar places, hahaha

All I ask for is the "option" to turn on/off features, give me the ability to customize the unit to "my" likings, however strange or unorthodox they may be!

I wonder how much money Escort has set aside for these tickets. Laser is next to impossible to beat, with a detector alone. As far as radar goes, even the best of us get popped with I/O at some point, and that's just considering those of us who are 'experienced'. Plenty of other 'less experienced' drivers are going to buy this $650, 360 degree "cop detector" and think that they are invincible. Lol.

All this "effort" into a max platform that many are not happy with and are experiences technical and quality issues and so expensive... Aren't more and more places doing more laser so wouldn't it be better to get a good radar (considerable cheaper than $650) and a killer ALP setup?

This guarantee is only if you actually PAY the speeding ticket. If you fight the ticket or send it to a lawyer etc none of that is paid for. So their guarantee is good on paper if you just lay speeding tickets and don't care about increase points in license and increased insurance rates. I am under the impression that most people with radar detectors send speeding tickets to lawyers and I am sure escort knows that so they aren't expecting to pay out to many times.

As far as the ticket policy, who in their right mind is going to pay a ticket versus pay a lawyer and get out of the ticket. I personally don't like paying extra for insurance. And if you pay the ticket off and then get another ticket in the next couple years, you are gong to get hammered on your insurance.

I was thinking about this. Of all of the speeding tickets that I've fought in the past, all of them got dropped to a generic moving violation with 0 points (Failure to obey a traffic control device). This would obviously make your FINAL ticket ineligible. However, what I take from their terms and conditions is that, as long as you have proof that the original ticket that you got was for radar/laser, in addition to the ticket that you plead down to, then you would be covered.

"To request reimbursement, you must provide ESCORT with all of the following - (a) a signed copy of the ESCORT Max 360 Speeding Ticket Guarantee Request for Reimbursement form which is available by contacting ESCORT Customer Service at 1-800-543-1608 (press 2); (b) a copy (not the original) of your speeding ticket, which must clearly identify that ticket was received for a radar or laser detected speeding violation or provide other proof that your ticket was for a speeding violation detected by radar or laser"

Again, this is just my interpretation. It would be nice to have some clarification from Escort.

I don't think he needs to respond. He has the advantage since the V1 was using arrows in his product for many years..already has proven solid performance, loyal owners, and it's $250 cheaper.

That was my impression when reading the T&C. In other words, I can file for my "$250 fire insurance check" and then use that money however I see fit. That's more or less a game changer, as that would put a good dent into the lawyer fees...
