K-pop off really works!: http://youtu.be/zXpq0buFYzU

As you know, when getting a moving K false it's difficult to know where it's coming from.

Every since YaV1 has had the ability to remove k-pop whole in euro mode I've been envious of HC's and Youthan' video with the "k-pop off" setting taking out signals from K band blind spot indicators.

HC proved there is virtually no price to pay in range to remove a tad of reactivity on k band by removing k-pop.

*I will now be impleming this on all my profiles!

I pulled out behind a Toyota hybrid Avalon and got blasted with up to 5 K signals at once in an area I travel all the time so I knew it wasn't normal.

I thought I would try removing K-pop and it worked!

I do positively confirm YOU DO HAVE TO CYCLE THE V1 after changing settings! (as shown in the video)

I'm encouraged big time!

Turning on TMF "may" have the same effect but at the cost of notable range as they are not the same setting.

Thx Franky and all who tested to make this happen.. It's a great tool!

Yes it does! Very few moving falses! I can count maybe 4 cars and a couple semis in the last couple months that have caused falses.

I must get a lot of other stuff too... Or come to think of it, V1 probably didn't power cycle the V1 so I assumed no change!

I'm v1 settings but if you already have Tmf on it won't be visible.

So I'd it better to not turn on TMF and just leave k pop off?

I remember this but strangely no one complained till now!

I remember this was when you were coming from an old profile "before k-pop was an option" and had Tmf on to these later versions.

Here is how to fix it
1. Take the profile with the issue and turn Tmf off and SAVE . (k-pop will be greyed)
2. Now copy that profile and name and SAVE.
3. Options should work now... = Tmf on will have no k-pop option. And Tmf off will.
4. Delete the old original profile.

Or you don't have to make a copy just save it with Tmf off. Then when you go back in again it works.

Not sure why it wants to ghost everytime you turn Tmf off unless it has to do with not being connected.

If you don't have traffic monitoring drones shooting IO blasts of K band in your area, then K POP OFF + TMF OFF is a safer configuration than just using TMF ON to disable K band.

I was able to get it working by simply turning off TMF and saving.
Then re-opening settings and I was able to check K-Pop

I confirm its not related to being connected Btw.

Well Tmf on will be a little quieter but it does knock down some range on K band.

If you turn k-pop off instead you will keep your range and lose some of the falses from car blind spot indicators... Virtually no reason not to use this option on all your euro profiles IMO!

"Tmf on" on the other hand, comes with a price but I would only use if in heavy city and still having problems.

Do I want K-Pop unchecked or checked?

Ive tried both ways and my wife's Acura MDX with side assist and collision radar still alerts.

Uncheck it, but recycle the V1 to take effect.

It won't work on all cars, has to do with the frequency they are using.. Audis and a few others are really bad.. https://www.rdforum.org/showthread.php?p=440506

I never heard any postings about a Toyota Avalon before.

My wife's 9500ix never made a peep inside the Avalon so I never suspected.... that's with pop on or off (on the 9500ix) just goes to show how deaf it is compared to the V1 which had up to 5 K alerts at once when I was following.

When you turn Tmf on it effectively kills k-pop automatically.
While not directly related, the K delay TMF brings renders k-pop also ineffective even if it was on... We decided to remove the k-pop option while Tmf was on because it would be deceptive as people might think they are still getting the k-pop on reactivity when they're really not.

Basically if you use Tmf on, k-pop is a moot point, however if Tmf is off you can run with k-pop on or off.

Since no one can confirm real k-pop guns being used here in the states , it's worth having it off to remove done falses.

If you have any doubts, leave it on, but know if you also turn on TMF filtering your not going to catch a k-pop gun either.

Is it enough to catch an I/o shot? How long does it delay it?

On a receiver's ass
It does work and well. Now if we could only turn of Ka POP in EURO mode and defeat those pesky Cobras....

Plenty fast. Slow enough to lose the blind spot indicators but still fast enough to catch I/O

K-pop off changes the alert speed from 0.07 sec to 0.20 sec. While Tmf on lowers it further to . 47 sec according to HCs testing.

The second pic shows how k-pop off leaves range virtually unchanged.

That's almost enough to catch sloppy QT

Guess you might leave yours on if it's a risk. . 07 to. 20 is extremely fast it seems... But I don't play with QT.

I don't think it's used around here just curious for when I go to the unknown

I think Vortex plays with it a lot, as well as HC to do the testing

I removed references to speeds as they are talked about on higher levels.
