how do you figure its not likely to go to lawsuit? even if there is a law, thats the criminal side, the lawsuit is the civil side. Remember OJ Simpson? won the criminal case, lost his ass on the civil side for milliions of $$$ as he was found responsible for Nicole's death, even though he wast found guilty on the criminal side.

as far as this lady, the cop arrested her for recording him, then didnt charge her for it. BIG TIME 4th amendment rights violation of her liberty, as without charging her with a valid crime, she was illegally seized. so even if there IS a law against recording the cops, the idiot officer DID NOT CHARGE HER WITH IT. he and the county will pay big time for that one. she already has 2 attorneys suing the county, 2 because they both know they will get more than enough money to split the winnings. people sue cops all the time and win. I have heard Oklahoma City cuts checks all the time for lawsuits, some are small time BS that is isnt worth their time fighting, so they settle it for a few thousand bucks rather than spend 10 grand defending it, others are legitimate officer misconduct that the city ends up paying out the nose for.... and rightfully so.

this county will be cuttiing this woman one helluva big check, i guarantee it.

45 minutes from my place. Dash cam with a "recording Video" sticker posted on my back window. Got the dash cam because I was getting pulled over for made up violations for a while and wanted proof. Odd thing is that once I traded my black car to old man gold and put the recorder on, I stopped getting pulled over for burned out tag light. Been pulled over 7 times for that reason and every time I got back home it was working.

I dread the day that I get pulled over in Dade or Broward County, especially since I always carry when I visit those areas. The cops over there are notorious for being anti-citizen, anti-1A,2A,4A... I mean shit, they're just about anti-everything that is pro-citizen. Lol.

This lady definitely has grounds for a lawsuit IMO, and she will be paid handsomely for it.

The point is, this miscarriage of justice will continue until the cops start being held accountable for their actions and start going to jail when they do these things. It will take a righteous and brave prosecutor (if there are any) to be the one to start putting away bad cops.
