For British Columbia:

It should be noted that I've observed RCMP IRSU (integrated road safety units) operating on k band around 24.118.

Alberta Canada Update :)
[..]

Government of Alberta policy doesn't allow photo radar / laser on provincially run highways. Apparently they choose demerits over revenue.
Where did you get this piece of information about laser not being allowed on the provincial highways (source?) and does this still apply today?

The key word is Photo.

Stuff inside the city limits comes under the cities jurisdiction.

That’s why you have photo Lidar on the North Henday by 66 st and 97st..... but you never see it in the east leg of the Henday.

The cut off is 34 st. Everything east of 34 st is under the RCMP and Alberta sheriffs.

Same with photo radar and photo Lidar on the Yellowhead. Inside the city limits... its allowed and under the city. Outside of the city limits.... you do not.

Same with Calgary and Red Deer. Probably every municipality.

When you drive into the city on the south side.... that’s why you see photo radar just north of where the Derrick use to be by Ellerslie Rd. That’s where the city takes over.

Aaaah, that makes sense now. For I moment I thought I had a legal recourse for the LIDAR ticket I got the other day. Thanks for the clarification.
Heywood is correct keyword is photo

You have legal recourse but photo in Alberta is more of a road toll not conected to insurance or record fight if you have the time hard to beat

For Newfoundland (not to include Labrador): The current post is still mostly accurate, I just figure I would add a more recent data point.
  • RCMP C/O Ka 35.5 and 34.7 province-wide. Very very little K (if any - none seen during me few years in NL).
  • Some towns have local "enforcement" vehicles which also run C/O Ka.
  • RCMP run C/O Ka along the trans-canada highway but there is very little enforcement otherwise. Never encountered laser or even proper speed traps but that is not to say they don't exist.
  • It is a very rural province with very little sources of K falsing outside of the towns. Easily able to run K wide on full sensitivity if travelling on highways or back roads.
