Wow! That was close. To be honest most of the stuff posted here is incredibly tame. That one was a lot!
I don’t know if the fact that the road was recently paved meant I had less traction or not, but it really felt like I wasn’t slowing fast enough at first.

This one was too close. I had nowhere to go.
I’m not convinced she would have stopped if she had seen me though.
Wow, that was the closest I have seen here in a while. They never even flinched, had no clue they almost caused an accident. Given that situation were were a lot nicer than I would have been.

I’ve learned to temper my reactions as I often have my kids in the car. The situation was stupid though because she cut me off to pull into a Bojangles that had an entrance on the road she was already on.

She would have had my horn at a minimum until she turned. Even just calmly following her and telling her she almost caused a considerable accident is enough to get someones attention. The hard thing is people don't learn if they know know they did something wrong, they just keep driving like....well....idiots.....as this thread explains well.

If she reacted to almost hitting you (severing back, braking, etc), well then she would have known and you go on your way....but she was clueless to what her actions were and the consequences they could have had.

I absolutely HATE drivers like this. They keep pressing the gas and braking, gas then brake, gas then brake. Just freaking coast or go easy on the gas :sotw:

Fully agree! You have to wonder when they need new brakes every 10k what the repair shop says to them? Of if they just laugh and look at it as a steady stream of income!

Almost made some creamed squid tonight. Luckily guy next to me saw him too, I laid on the horn hoping he would see.

If I was in the right lane going straight and a large SUV was where I was, I'd say I would have agreater than even chance of hitting him.

Probably left footing the brake. I hate being behind those folks. They also tend to have a lot of burned out brake lights too.

Kinda looks like that dipshit gave you a finger or arm? I will be the first to raise my hand that I do dumb things when riding but running redlights isn't one of them. Shame on that rider.

Caught a blatant red light runner. Glad the other car was paying attention.

Too early to deal with such idiots (all 3 within several minutes):

1. Braking in on each and every curve, then speed-up/slow-down on the straight parts - just cannot be behind such a creature:

2. Moving along at 45 on 60 during morning commute - WTF?:

3. Joining in and slowly pluggin' away:

Oh yeah, welcome to my daily hell. I live in an area that has plenty of corners and slow drivers like this, usually with MO tags! The only time that I've seen anyone drive up to [and beyond] the speed limit is when I see my wife on the road! I swear that they are allergic to feeling a corner. Personally, I think it is my civic duty to take every corner as quickly while being safe as I can just so that I don't slow down cars behind me.

For sure. The roads are there to get onto them and actually drive, not to be hanging around. I have the sensation that some people are just not confident drivers. Nothing wrong or unsafe to take those curves with 50-55. PSL is 55. And that one was taking them at about 40.
