http://www.acma.gov.au/theACMA/radiodetermination-licence-guidelines#traffic
Operation in the 24 - 24.25 GHz band
The operation of low powered devices in the 24 - 24.25 GHz band is currently met by the Radiocommunications (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class Licence 2000 (the LIPD Class Licence). An apparatus licence is not required for low powered devices operating in the 24 - 24.25 GHz frequency band that comply with the requirements of the class licence.

Operation in the 34 GHz band
Approval has been granted for the operation of traffic radar speed guns in the 34.2 - 35.2 GHz frequency band by Federal, State and Territory law enforcement agencies. The operation of traffic radar speed guns in this band is authorised by a radiodetermination licence. The following special condition will be attached to such licences, due to the non-fixed nature of the radar service:

'No interference shall be caused to any radiocommunication station or service and no protection from interference by such stations or services shall be afforded.'

Don't worry, this is still something I've been working on from time to time. There are no polygons for Aus so I have to do them all individually, and it's a hard task. That, and the geo system we use is US-only, so I have to write one for Aus as well.

WA is only authorised to operate up to 35.2Ghz from memory so the only other possible threats apart from the, Multanova 34.3 are the Stalker 34.7 (not used) and the Genesis 35.2Ghz (never encountered) which they had tuned down from 35.5Ghz to make sure it didn't exceed the authorised frequency bandwidth allowed.

yep u got it right, but we may need to add a bit, just camera operated, no warning with rd's, it's on the c-50 cheetah as a warning anouced p/p, starts at beerburrum and runs for about 8-11 km to the final camera just before Caloundra , it's a long way between cameras and it measures time over distance covered, thought might add this ptp is north of brisbane on the Bruce Highway, might be a funny one to add , no doubt you'll find a way :)

fantastic naz looks great, just progressing we have the redflex camera around and reports of a lower k band not sure of the actual think its 23.500 takes it below the 24,000 listed i think it,s in NSW, may be Vic, been seen in QLD but think it was just a trial here, and Busta repote by vid seeing POLIS in QLd think the same applies just a trial, hope fully get a bit more feed back but the lower freq redflex is in nsw

Down there.
Nice job Naz, if you'd like to add the hand held Falcon K band radar to the list for Vic, although rare I did see it in operation on the Hume Fwy here a couple of weeks back.

if they are using a lower band frequency on K band - it is illegal, - so i assume any fines associated with it would be thrown out of court.
could it be a gun that needs servicing ?? i would like to know for definate about this

thanks for the update

Hey Nazar I can confirm 110% that the new WA Police concept cars which roam our streets (within Perth) EITHER uses the Stalker DSR or the Stalker Dual (I'm not able to ID EXACTLY which model they use) - but either way they both use Ka band.

You can view this for yourself in the following video,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1dv-HlSnJI

Fast forward to 1:21(this is the start where you get to see it being used in real traffic but only for a split second) and end at 1:25.

This car also has ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) mounted on the roof.

Edited!

thanks, hard to work out though - i didn't watch the whole video, but i did notice the steering wheel was on the wrong side.. (so not sure)

did a search on ANPR, and WA does use it (thankyou)
i think other states do use it as well (but i will let someone else tell me :D
