It literally doesn't.

V1D doesn't allow you to have custom profiles. As such it has no ability to switch automatically based on my own maps. It literally doesn't. Yes, I can change profiles manually using V1C, but I don't want to mess with the phone all the time to customize for the area I am in. I want one app to do that for me.

You literally don't know what it is I want.
Let me clarify for @Deacon . V1D doesn't have the ability to change settings, profiles, custom frequencies. So in order to do so, you have to exit V1D, open V1C, change settings, exit V1C, Open V1D.

V1C doesn't have the ability to change profiles based on locations either.

With JBV1, you set your profiles with all your customized settings and custom frequencies, you set up locations on the maps, and set custom profiles for those locations. You run JBV1 and nothing else and it takes care of everything for you based on your location and your profiles you have set up.

The only need for V1C when you have JBV1 is to update the V1G2. That's literally the only thing I use it for.

Thanks for your testing!

Are you sure the gun wasn't running on the passenger seat when you did the DS1 runs?

As a owner/ user of 2 RL 360's this reaffirms my decision a yr ago to stay the coarse, ride out the horrible roll out last June/9 ( returned my 1st unit) and give Escort a chance to iron out the problems. Im very happy with mine and how they stack up against the others in both the real world and in controlled testing.

I think once the R4 is released and tested by Rags, many will have buyers remorse for buying the DS1 so early.
Not a chance, DS1 is excellent for the price.

R4 will cost more so it should be a better detector in theory.

If it can come extremely close or match the G2 in KA range while having the DS1’s K band performance, I think that will have a big impact on sales. I’m still convinced in 6 months we’ll see the R4 on sale on Amazon for $399.

What are you? 5?

Have you never seen LEOs lay their gun on the seat as they drive back to their hiding spot to nab the next guy?

I haven't seen a single handheld K band gun that Xmits when the trigger isn't being pulled. Have you?

In 6 months we'll see bread lines in USSA and Uniden won't be able to afford shipping container to California.

Killer testing once again @Rags ! Makes me very glad I own 2 V1G2's! The RL360C was also VERY annoying to me when @VariableWave and I did our testing. That ramp was by far the worst I've ever heard! Unless some of them are different than @Vortex 's, I can't deal with it, and I love an aggressive ramp! I'm glad we got to test it and the DS1's as well. I can't wait to see what the R4 can do! Thanks for all of the time and $ you spent doing this testing!

You’re right, V1Driver won’t continually change your configuration for you based on your location in the moment. If that’s what you meant, that’s quite a bit different than, “I just wish it would allow settings and custom profiles with custom frequencies.”

Which it doesn't!

After fighting weather for over a week, I was able to finish up more testing with some of the heavyweights. @Vortex was kind enough to send me both the DS1 that Radenso sent him (the mythical "Juiced" unit) along with his example that he purchased at Best Buy (it still has the protective film on it). I also tested mine, which was purchased directly from Radenso.

Here is the course and drive (yes, that's a RL360C and a DS1 running together :) :

The detectors are as follows:

DS1(Mine purchased from Radenso), DS1 (Vortex's Radenso supplied unit), DS1 (Vortex's Best Buy purchase): Firmware 1.05, X Off, Ka Segmented 2,4,5,6,8, Ka Filter off, K filter on, TSF off, MRCD Off, custom mode 100% on everything.
R7(my recently serviced unit from Uniden): Firmware 1.37, settings same as above, highway mode
R3(Very well-used unit purchased by me at Best Buy): Firmware 1.37, settings same as above
RL360C: Firmware 1.9, Settings same as above, Highway mode
V1G2: Firmware 4.1025, X off, KV ON, No custom frequencies, All Bogeys mode.

You will note that the V1G2 had a substantially longer detection on 35.5. This is at a location near the turn-around I often mention in my other tests on this Hat 6 course. I first noticed the V1G2 picking up my KGE at this spot when I was attempting to test last week. It had started raining, so I had to cut the tests short, and figured it was an anomaly. On Sunday when I did my 35.5 testing again, the V1G2 again alerted here. None of the other detectors pick up anything here, and I tried many ways to see if any would pick up a signal here, even letting the detectors "soak" in the location. It didn't hold on to the signal for very long, and when it picked it back up again, it was near where the RL360C would pick up its initial alert.

33.8 (MPH Python II Fs) Results:

Here are videos of the last 35.5 runs:

In conclusion, Vortex's DS1 was not juiced. In fact, I think mine might perform a bit better, and his Best Buy example performed a bit better yet (Maybe Best Buy got all the "Juiced" units LOL!). The DS1 is a quite the strong performer!
Thank you again so much for another great test.
Crazy detections for the G2 on 35.5 on all 3 runs WoW.
