I have owned my Redline 360c since November and have yet to have a laser alert.

I called Escort and they want me to send it in to them for testing.

However, is there a way to test it on my own? I have aimed my phone and other LED devices at it hoping it would trigger an alert.

Is there anything you suggest?

Thank you!

Not having a laser alert doesn't mean that anything is wrong with your detector, you might not have been targeted by laser yet. The detector in my testing is extremely sensitive to lidar, surprisingly sensitive.

If you did just want to test the detector alerting to laser, one of these could help:

I've tested the RL360c with Laser reactivity and it's pretty dead-on. But like mentioned above just cause it hasn't detected lidar doesn't mean it's not working.

I drive all day every day in Houston Texas. I am pretty sure since November I would have been hit by a laser speed detector.

I have had Valentine One in the past and it goes off laser quite a bit. So that’s why I know I must have been hit since November.

Even Escort said to use your IPhone facial recognition to try to test the laser detector.

I am going to hook it up to my computer and try to reset it? Also does anyone know how to test laser on it as a civilian?

V1 false a lot to laser! If your unit went off then the officer already has your speed.

Not any longer. The V1G2 has resolved the vast majority of laser false alerts.

Unless you run ALPs. I turned laser detection on for my V1 for about a week and every time I started the car, it falsed to my ALP doing its startup sequence. Granted, I park in a garage at work and against a fence at home, but it quickly got very annoying. And in fairness to the V1, that looks like legit police lidar.

LOL, yeah...I don't think I would consider the output from the ALP as a false ;)

Just thought of something. If you are running JBV1, you could do a custom profile with no laser for a geo fence around your house. That way when you return to near your home, it shuts laser off...and when you leave it turns it back on.

Amazon has. Lot of LIDAR sensors. Build a test rig.

I've had the r360c since August and the only Lidar hot I've ever had was last week when a car kept setting it off.

I've also never encountered a statie just sitting on the side of the road. They are always moving when I see them.

Their is a much better chance that you're front plate is being hit w laser and the rl360 simply doesn't pick it up. Happens all the time.
