The original “Radenso Pro” was released sometime before 2015 (before noLimits purchased Radenso), it has had quite a few hardware updates and firmware updates since then (Pro SE, Pro M). There hasn’t been any big firmware updates in the past year because it is at the limit of what I can do already. Not a necessarily a bad thing, it is the same reason why we haven’t had a firmware update on the SP and XP models as well.
although one representative of radenso has spoken and you can see taking care of users. And uniden still cannot do it and leaves us alone with problems and really not much is enough to help. I am even willing to buy a program to improve Mrcd detection, which is still growing and R3 cannot cope with it. And to buy another one, sorry I cannot afford it

as my wife said .... why another RD that only detects motion sensors in the store and cars !! I can't buy another one. so secretly, all that's left is to buy the updates 😞

The R4 actually got some nice features, which are somehow in my R3, but I will buy it, I have no chance that it remains obligatory because the r3 is doing poorly.

It kind of looks like an Aventador.
I agree, first thing I thought of was it was trying to go after Lambo’s squashed hexagon styling together with cheap looking chevron vent lines. I tend to prefer clean lines and streamlined simplicity, which means the original R1/3 design I thought looked pretty good. To me the R4 looks a little too try-hard boy racer, like it’s influenced by the Batman detector, but honestly I don’t think it really matters much. It could look like a coiled turd, and if it represented a revolution in capabilities I’d still run it.

Found this press release out on the web today:
https://www.globenewswire.com/news-...Ext-reme-Long-Range-Radar-Laser-Detector.html
The article lists an MSRP of $560. I was hoping to see it more in the $450 range but I guess we'll see where it lands when they hit the streets. If the range of production units matches @Vortex results, it is probably still a good deal compared to the overpriced escort products.
Seems too expensive.
As an evolution of the R3, I had hoped the price would reflect that.
Ok, slightly more expensive while the R3 is still in production but I agree, $450 seems about right.
But, it may prove to be one hell of a detector!

Actual price is $449.99 USD. And that's on Uniden's site. Real world price likely a little lower once supply is plentiful assuming the trend follows past history.

They list R7 for $599 and R3 for $399, and as you probably know those typically sell for less.

(That may not track perfectly on your side of the Atlantic of course. But at least here the pricing is fairly logical.)

That.. I'm not sure of.
I believe it was Tom who said that the R4 was going out to selected dealers and not everyone.

Part might be availability.

The other may be the rogue dealers that violated the MAP agreements with Uniden. (That's my guess) That was fairly recent, so you shouldn't have any trouble seeing what he wrote.... and read between the lines.

Those..."Typically Sell For Less" networks, will probably have a very limited allotment... if any. A work around the supply chain could be very problematic as well now that Uniden has bought Attowave.

Those that wait thinking someone will come in... again ... and under cut Uniden... or their dealers that play by the rules.... might be waiting an awful long time.

That's all I'm going to say on this subject.

@Brainstorm69,

I enjoy thinking about you typing that keyword into the search engine each time you want to link to it, and the algorithm at GOOGLE thinking, "Man, this guy must really be into dildos."

I can only imagine what your personalized ads look like.
Thankfully, Google doesn't seem to be linked into the RDF search engine.... ;)

Is it just me or in the pics does the 360* laser eye on top of the R4 look bigger than what come on the R1/R3? Vortex could probably tell us.. I hope they at least made a hardware tweak to the laser filtering or something on this for that kind of price. If not, I'll keep the R1. On Ka it's a beast!!

With the R4, I would only choose the interior and transfer it to my R3! because the appearance is not as good as R1 / R3 !!

Not going to work. Power cord on wrong side. Laser sensor on wrong side. Buttons in wrong place. Among other reasons.

Hey I paid $450 for my Redline O 10 years ago. It was selling up over $600 when it came out. Besides the lack of BSM filtering it still works, 10 years later.

If you buy one for $450 and it legitimately saves you twice (exclusively the detector) then it paid for itself 100%. You have recovered your entire investment plus the time saved and feeling of freedom and control, situational awareness you had in your environment puts that return way in the green.

All that said, I’m still not interested in any more atto products at this time. I went through 2 R1 (one purchased at $299, one warranty replacement) in less than 2 years. I want to say the higher prices are in line with inflation but the quality just wasn’t there.
