Redline started showing traces of Florida sun on the case and became somewhat weak. Called Escort - they can no longer fix it. Purchased used Beltronics GT-7 but the display is very weak (seems to be dying due to age) and tiny, not practical in 365 sunny days, indication is not 100% clear like in Redline. Plus it still advises of traffic light cameras removed a few years ago :) I could not connect it for software updates neither. Will try to call the company to see if there is ANY support left on this model. Don't think it's a keeper.
I looked at Escort Max360, but from what I understand it sends a 24/7 feedback on my speed, location, etc. What would be a good budget alternative/replacement for Redline?

Negative on the X80. Not sure what your $$$ limit is, but I would wait for the R4 to come out.

The X80 is a POS, skip that one. Off hand I would say Uniden R1 or R3. Another great new option would be the Radenso DS1. After that you might as well step up to arrows with either the V2, R7, or Escort Max 360. All depends on what you want to spend.

The Max360 does have a GPS receiver in it for autolockouts and the GPS camera database, but as far as I know, there is no way for it to transmit your data to anyone. Would kind of be defeating the purpose of a radar detector, lol.
