Hey all,

I just put in the MAX CI 360 Along with the ALP jammers in my Lamborghini urus. Two separate interfaces. I keep getting ka band going off when there isn’t anything. It will shoot up to around 3 bars then disperse. Anyone have any ideas why it’s doing it ? I did have this system in a other car prior and never had this issue.

Does the Lambo have lane assist? Possible it's a low K band frequency creating the Ka false. What is the ka frequency? 34.685 or so?

I didn’t check the frequency yet. I’ll change it to spec mode when I get back in. It does have lane keep assist.

Can you turn it off? I'm sure that will fix the problem. You can also turn on the unit, see if it falses inside then right after hold it outside the drivers side window. It might be worse being closer to the lane assist antenna.

I turned off ka band 8,9, and 10. It seemed to work segmenting this. Not a fan of having all 3 off tho.

Looks like I narrowed it down to ka band 8. When that’s off it doesn’t do it. Hopefully no one uses that band

Keep 9 & 10 off as there aren't any threats in this rage. Those are predominately where the lane assist and laser guided cruise false- 35.842

Yeah IIRC, some Teslas would trigger the same issue and so you had to shut off the appropriate Ka segment. It was a false coming from the vehicle itself. Segment 10 should cover 35.842. Be sure to leave segment 8 on as that's a legitimate police radar frequency range.

Thank you. That’s my biggest fear. I will try shutting 10 off.

After some time driving with 10 off I still keep getting the alerts. I sat in my driveway and every min or Two it will go off. Same band , and 1-2 bars. Not sure if there is any other ka bands I should shut off ?

Jus following up with an update. It turns out the original update wasn’t downloaded correctly. Escort forced an update and all good now

New Max 360C here. I'm also getting Ka falsing, as well--35.842, 34.974. I have segment 8 ON and 9 & 10 turned off. Is this correct?

Same issue here. I’m trying a M360c while waiting for my RL360c to come in. Non stop Ka falsing. Alerts will sit at 1-2 bars for quite a while on various odd frequencies. 34.580 GHz being a prominent one today, but I’m seeing a bunch of different ones way out of radar frequencies in use. This has been happening for two days since I’ve had it up.

I’m running the latest 1.12 firmware, don’t have lane assist in either of my vehicles and happens in both. Last year I tried a M360c and encountered the exact same issue. I tried segmenting the last one and was still experiencing the issue on frequencies within 2,5,8. I’ll try segmenting this one tomorrow to see if it makes a difference, but odd that it’s the second one I’ve tried out of the box with the exact same issue and several reports of this floating around the Escort forums too. Seems the solution is a hardware fix by Escort, but @Delta33 you just mentioned that firmware update fixed the issue for you? Can you explain the steps they walked you through?

Just so that I understand you....ONLY 2,5,8 should set to ON? All others off?

Correct. Segmenting 2/5/8 will still cover you on 33.8, 34.7, 35.5 and limit the Ka falsing we're seeing on the detector. I'm still seeing some sporadic Ka falsing (mostly at night for whatever reason), but far less than with all Ka segments on.

Ka Band Narrow 2: 33.700 – 33.900 GHz
Ka Band Narrow 5: 34.600 – 34.800 GHz
Ka Band Narrow 8: 35.400 – 35.600 GHz

Turn Ka band off in the radar settings menu and then toggle all Ka bands off aside from 2/5/8.

Depends on where you live and how well they maintain their equipment.

Stalkers have been known to drift mostly higher, but some lower than segment 5.

To catch all the out of spec stalkers we collectively have come across in NY, you would want segments 4-8 on. (at least 5,6,8)

Other parts of the country have reported out of spec stalkers, but not at the same volume as we see reported for NY.

Before you segment, make sure you know what you face for enforcement. Getting a ticket with no alert generally makes people think their detector is in need of repair.

Good points to note. 4-8 on. My local dealer here in NY was constantly on the phone with escort. They changed the front radar, had me go through every setting nothing would change. I still kept falsing. We segmented, shut every safety feature on the car off with no change. The next step was replacing the CPU. Turns out they didn’t like how the software was updated. They manually forced an update and now it works perfectly as long as 9 and 10 are off. I’m thinking maybe something was wrong on one of the updates they did and next announced it. Now it’s working perfect with every safety feature and only 9 and 10 off.
