Hi There,
I've gone through the threads here about getting BT radar detector warnings into my helmet, and I get confused by what exactly I need for my situation.
A simple touring cruiser with no perks or gizmos, Yamaha V-Star 950T.

What I have and need it to do:
Many detectors, all with 3.5 mm audio output. The Escorts have BT to their app, but I don't want to run it and it's not good for giving alerts, just a delayed voice announcement. I tested, ick.
Currently I run the cable to my helmet which has a cheap stereo speaker inside.
What I would like is to have instant BT alerts to speakers in the helmet. No wires, ditch the old junk.
To complicate things, I'm looking to add ALP protection with the BT module.
No music or navigation is required, but wouldn't reject the option to play from phone. Priority will be detector and ALP. Phone calls are not needed at all, if I hear ringing I can pull over.

1) Now, if I get a Sena, Cardo or cheap copy, as long as I can get the phone to send sound to it I'm okay? So apps like HR, JBV1, ALP connect etc will all transmit to the headset?

2) If I buy a V1G2 and use JBV1 that would be a seamless setup to a BT helmet setup? Can I run 2 apps at once for alerts like ALP connect and JBV1? Shouldn't any sound from phone come through?

3) If I want to use my R7 with it's stereo 3.5mm audio output, how would I get this into a Pixel 4XL or any newer phone that has no 3.5mm jacks?

4) I have Galaxy Buds earbuds but I really can't get my full face on with them in. Prefer a Sena type with really loud speakers as I use earplugs with noisy bike & wind. Any other slim type earbud/plugs that may work getting into helmet? Are they legal?

5) Short term cheap fix, can I get a BT transmitter to connect my R7 into by cable, BT to phone, then into earbuds? Would I need an app to feed sound through the phone or is a Google phone capable of just receiving and sending the signal from RD as is?

6) Suggest a BT transmitter for R7?

7) Suggest a basic Sena or other brand single helmet setup, that will be able to do these things receiving from phone, or directly from BT dongle plugged into R7.

8) Before I purchase the ALP, is this better achieved by the APP on the phone, or audio plug in to a different transmitter like dongle or splitter with R7.

I know, a lot of questions but I would like to do this one and done.
Have my finger over the ALP buy button but I need some assurance I can do this without huge expenditures.
Thank you for any advice to help me move ahead with this.
DC.

I don't have good guidance for you, but I did notice that some of that text is hard to read...

I tested ALP app with Galaxy Buds and WOW it works.
This is a possibility if I can get it to work in tandem with radar alerts, and possible modify or do something to ease buds into helmet.
Not sure about the touch controls on the ear buds and having contact inside the helmet.
Any experience here if it causes unwanted activations of controls?

Hmmm, looks okay at my end, perhaps I'll edit and move it around.

I use a TRD Bluetooth senders that connected to my ALP and can here the alerts up to about 120mph my bike isn't quiet either and that with ear plugs never ride with out them.
No wires no mess

Do you have a detector that can alert into the Sena at the same time as ALP hooked up?
How did that come together?

Using the below. Bluetooth to phone. ALP and JBV1 plays right through bluetooth into my ears along with music on the phone being streamed as well. You may have to tweak the ALP BT app output which I can take a pic for ya of my config, etc. Been using it for 2 years now! :)

What detector are you using?
V1G2 through JBVI on phone?

Ah I see, still the same?

ALP/R7 in the car!
ALP/NR DSP on the bike!

Yes I realized after I posted you had a R7 and I'm using a NR DSP integrated into the ALP.

So I just ordered these, hope they work together.
I have my main phone and a backup no data S8 that would be able to connect both together to the Sena.
Manual states 2 phones can be connected at same time.
Or 1 phone and a GPS, or 1 phone and music player or RD using SR10 BT adaptor.
I'm hoping the BT dongle can take the place of a Sena SR10 just to get RD sound into Sena, if not it will have to go to second phone then to Sena.
I could use the primary phone for Maps, HR and ALP (ALP BT module to app). Or wire the ALP into a Y with RD into BT Dongle?
Now back to ALP cart. $$$$.

The Sena 10R from what I've looks up in the instructions seemly you would have to toggle between both Bluetooth pairs units by pressing the button on your helmet not much good that be that my understanding of how it seems to work.

I don't see why you couldn't use a Y 3.5mm as you said yourself connection and run the ALP and RD outputs into the Y and then into the Bluetooth sender then pair with your sena Etc

It's a little ambiguous as to how the BT works, but I've seen both ways.
When listening to phone gps or music, the other connection may override or be quieter that the other source.
I have to figure out which way to set it up in the app.
More difficult when you are sharing intercom with others, but this is strictly me.
Nice feature is FM radio independent of all connections, so I can listen and then have BT phone or RD override it.
The ALP and RD using one circuit will be the trick unless I can get ALP & phone to play with RD/Dongle on the 2 BT circuits.
All the Sena manuals and videos imply it will work with 2 sources at once.
We will see soon.

Well some parts are starting to show up.
No Sena yet but some promising developments.

Bad news: The phones won't accept the TaoTronics https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01IVM84A6/
As a TX, but will pair and send through it as an RX. Pointless when you could just send by phone anyways.

However, with no V1G2 BT enabled detector here yet, how do I get R7 and phone apps/music into the helmet wirelessly.
Plug into the BT TX with a Y and male to male cables, the R7 & phone.
A demo video of transmitting while using my Monster box as the stand in Sena 10R.
Only hitch is this is my old phone so I would have to get it data or find a way to both charge and send audio out the 1 USB C connection on my Pixel 4XL. And no ALP here yet.
It should all work seamlessly with the V1G2 however. ALP, V1G2/JBV1 both through phone to Sena.

FYI the little BT TX/RX has an FM radio too, so I can get radio without a phone media connection.
The Sena 10R has radio, I was picking up something else.
