Just picked up a Raptor straight out of a Texas patrol car. Should be shipped today. If it is what he says, it will be loads of fun to test.

You'll love it - love the patch antenna's. Nice and small and easy to mount.

I should put it back into the vehicle. Mine is the older version 1 series. I need to do a updated picture of all them on the dash again.

Take care Spin

I can't wait to fire it up and try a few things. Just glad I found it before the crowd here.😁

Not sure of the version. This is the head unit.

Clicked on the thread thinking it was a different sort of Raptor, but either way good luck with your new toy!

I'd be interested in seeing what the frequencies are like on your two antennas.

On my RP-1 K dual, one is around 24.124 GHz, but the 2nd is around 24.108 GHz.

I've even seen one patrol car here running around 24.089 GHz which seems very low, as most come in around 24.125 GHz (nearly caught me out once, but lucky I was running K wide when I first got the R7)

I'll post freq as soon as I get it. I'm curious as well.

I have several Raptors in use by my local LEO'S and I have confirmed them at 24.124 and 24.125 but I've seen others transmit from 24.121- 24.128. Very interesting and informative that you confirmed them below 24.120!

Yes, that was a bit of a shocker - I used to run K4 seg only (24.100- 24.150) on my STi-R+ ALP integration, which was great for cutting out dual GM BSM's, and a quiet ride before Mazda CX-5 BSM's came along

I'd like to say I've seen them that low as well but I've seen county here with Falcon HR and Raptor from low 100s to 24.126. Hard to say which is which when they pass you at 75 in the opposite direction on a divided highway.

Package came at an odd time. At home waiting for call to pick up wife and kid from a routine surgery ( only one parent allowed at hospital ) I did have a minute to inspect the box and fire it up and then wife called. They're ready to come home. Kid is great and the freq are 24.114 and 24.118. After kid stabilizea at home I'll post a few more observations over the weekend.

@biolink , congrats on the new toy! I'll bet you can guess what test I want to see you run with the Raptor! Yep, hit your V1G2 and R1 with lots of Q/T shots and see how the G2 reacts! I already know that the R1 will blister it!

I tried a bit with V1G2 had a slight delay. I want to set up a better test. I'll contact you with details before posting something related in a test thread I don't mind having moved to intermediate. 😁

I decided to reporpose the test rig I made for the Falcon HR back in January. The box made it easy for me to hide the extra antenna wire and keep the power away from both. I picked up an L bracket, a 4 inch drain cover, a small piece of Poplar, and a few nuts and bolts. I'm happy with the outcome. I could run each antenna at a different angle to the road without moving the entire rig, or in the future test K or Ka by switching to front / rear antenna.

Here is a moto with a customer running a Raptor RP-1. He was broadcasting 24.124 on my R7. I have three moto's in my area with RP-1's and one running older K band at 24.101. Low power K on a moto is a dangerous combination!

You'd think with that nice flat patch antenna KSI would include a right angle connector vs that straight thing that sticks out the back several inches.
