What frequencies?? There's a specific k band frequency which resonates over to Ka around 34.685 that will create a false

Makes sense, I had a J alert shortly after updating my V1G2 to the latest firmware version. I was at a stop sign, lots of cars around and it went from K to J. I know it came from a car because I drive through the intersection all the time and I've never had it detect anything or throw a J before or since.

I had a J out for 34.6xx. First two alerts were low in the low 600s for probably a false but the strong signal was a legit frequency. I do not recall seeing a trooper on the other side. Possibly a unit on the overpass?

Yeah with my V1G1, almost all of the J-outs are 33.8-ish POP false alerts. But on the V1G2, I've also seen a pretty high number of J-outs all over the place, usually on non-police-radar frequencies. I've ended up running my V1G2 with really loose custom sweeps (150-200MHz up and down) and that greatly quiets down the Ka and J-out noise.

It's still really quiet for how good the Ka response times are, but maybe they could use a little more work on Ka filtering. My Max 360Ci, on the other hand, basically never incorrectly alerts on Ka band except weak 33.8 from satellite dishes in the 60,000 miles of driving I've done on it. When that thing goes off on Ka, I immediately pay attention.

I have no idea about the frequencies. I have a flip phone so frequencies are of no interest to me. Thanks to the two who responded to my post.

I would get a J-out maybe once a week or once every 2 weeks way back. It wasn’t annoying as the j-out would disappear not longer after the initial beep. After the last several firmware updates, I haven’t gotten one again.

I got a couple when I first picked up my G2 but none since the last couple of updates. I might have seen one or two in all the years of running my V1G1. That might have been because I always ran it with Ka guard off.

I had a 34.157 J out, passed a blacked out Ford Hatch, assuming it was from a cheaper detector

I would say I get J outs almost daily where I live. Most are so quick I don't see the frequency on JBV1 before ita gone. Is there a way to filter out those responses in the app? Or do I have to look up the logs on the day individually?

You want to eliminate the alerts?

When avoiding low 33.8 Cobras, 34.200± satellite, or 35.7xx semi-truck crash avoidance systems Custom Frequencies can take care of a noticeable amount.

After running full range Ka for roughly a year I remembered to try Custom Frequencies again and it's been going well.

I don't get a J from each junk source. Between the houses you can see the shadow of a satelite dish. Get 35.xx frequently here which has never J'd out. I'd love to know the back end logic of the J feature.

I was more looking for a way to find those J out alerts in the logs easier than having to look through each day.

I went back and reviewed information shared by another RDF member. Silly me, J filter is for erroneous POP only which is not in the 35 range. Wanted to correct my post because expecting J here will only lead to disappointment on my part and misinformation in this thread.

I got a couple of J outs over the long weekend both in Greenwood, IN. Think they were other vehicles as they were in different spots I've never seen J outs at before.

I've had a few "J" as well, which happen in rush hour where I suspect it's from a certain car around me.

I also have some random, brief Ka alerts such as: 33.658 ; 33.479 ; 34.221 ; and such.
I assume these are false...I only know the frequency when I check the V1 connection app. Other than that, I don't have a way to filter out or segment the detector.
Interesting, I get more K band falses on the R7 but more Ka falses on the Valentine.
