I have live working on my 9500ci plus with Alps and it works amazing. They are 2 separate units right now but I kind of want to integrate them but everywhere I look the quit carrying the integration part.

Can anyone help please and some info on what I would lose and gain by putting the as 1

You might want to start a new thread as this one is a bit old. I think you will find many people recommending that if you can afford it, go with a Netradar or RC M, instead of the 9500ci, if you really want to mate a detector to the ALP. Some of the windshield mounts are really good options also, if nothing below works for you.

I have an STIr+ coupled with ALP on one vehicle, but on another I have ALP with Net Radar.

Lockouts work differently than in the ESCORT and your phone would become your display and control pad (muting etc). You would also lose the ability to tie Escort Live to the 9500ci (i think anyhow). You could add an RC M and would not need your phone for lockouts or the display.

With the 9500ci/STIr+ mated to the ALP, the KA band detection is pretty good, but the K band falses from BSMs are simply unbearable. I ended up shutting K band off in 2 of the ALP profiles, and the third profile I only enabled part of K band to catch Stalker Patrols.

If you dont face K band the 9500ci is a decent option and you can find an interface out there somewhere, maybe in the classifieds. But if you want to have the option of having a newer detector that can handle some of the K band BSM pollution, I would suggest you look at Radenso RC M or get a Netradar add on for the ALPs. If you wanted to you could add both front and rear radar units to get the direction of the signal.

The 9500ci/STIR+ were great a few years ago, but the K band Pollution made them pretty much obsolete in areas where K band is a threat.

I run my ALP with TX with my 9500ci. I have turned off K but it has limited use in GA. Here we see KA and the Dragon for the ALP everywhere… I have pondered replacing my 9500ci with a Redline 360c but its hard to justify since K is so limited here. If you have K where you are then I would consider the Redline or Unidentifiable R7. Is the KA as good in the 9500ci compared to the newer units no but its still pretty good.

I really wish someone would compair the distance of the 9500ci vs 360c vs v1g2 vs r7 and see the difference. Maybe some has and I can't find it but all I know is for ka the 9500ci is amazing.

Where abouts in GA are you? There is a lot of K band in use along the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Alabama line. I’ve also seen it on I-75 near Macon. I wouldn’t feel safe driving with K off anywhere in GA.

K on older detectors like the 9500 would drive me mad.. I run my ALP with an Sti-R, it's super awesome on KA, but it would drive me mad to run it on K as well, apart from that the only K band we have here is on Redflex trailers, the STI-r doesn't provide any useful warning on Redflex, but it used to be awesome on Gatso's.

Good to know. In Minnesota I have yet to see anything but KA yet. Who knows though. Everywhere I read that's all the run here and I don't go out of the cities very often so I feel safe with k and x turned off. I still can't believe that escort had Bluetooth for the 9500ci and it seemed to me that hardly anyone even knows about it. It definitely makes the 9500ci so much better. Anyways I'll keep my eyes open for the rg2 adapter.

The CI and STiR-O still have great Ka range when compared to the big 3. If all you're seeing is Ka and Laser then IMO there's no need to upgrade from the CI. But hey it's your money. IF you need something to travel outside your area, an R3 would make a great 2nd RD for K band areas. Save you some cash too.

Yeah, having celebrated its 6th birthday recently, I think it counts as old. A lot has changed over the last 6 years. Very few people indeed would be well served by buying a 9500ci system today! They’re not made anymore, regardless.

I get that see I already have 1 installed and just got the al priority so right now I'm running both and so far so good. I was just thinking about integrating them both together but I'm having a hard time finding the modual to do it.

You'll have to find one used as ALP no longer makes nor sells it.
