Was following a Cadillac SUV yesterday and it was falsing to them again. Very strange to pass a ton of Cadillac vehicles a week or 2 ago and no falses. Not too sure what's going on there....

How is Vortex getting red rear arrows when set to multiple and mine was stuck with the green rear arrow?

I upgraded mine today. One small issue. I had to unpair and re-pair my phone's bluetooth to the detector to get it to connect to EL.

Just picked up a second R360C for the wife. Built this week, 1921 was end of serial number and it came with 1.7, which is odd since 1.8 been out for about three weeks now??

Consider it is made in Philippine, adding transportation by ocean freight. It’s quite normal. In addition, the firmware is generally initialized with chip supplier, before entering mass production, you may not see current version of firmware on production for quite awhile. This is common situation if you buy any electronic devices such as router, smart home network components. You will most likely to be asked to update firmware during initial setup.

Can these things be back-revved or are we stuck on 1.8 if we upgraded? The amount of false MRCD, laser, Ka are all significantly worse for me with 1.8. I hate it.

You're stuck. No way a user can revert to an older firmware

I doubt 1.8 is the cause of this for you. MRCD false alerts are ridiculous on all versions. If you are getting constant laser and Ka false alerts, you may have an issue with your detector. I would also be sure you are running segmented (default is 2, 5, 8, but I suggest 2,4,5,6,8). If you are running Ka wide, false alerts on Ka are somewhat common on all firmware versions (1.7 and up is better IMHO by a small margin).

Are you aware of the sources that are causing the false alerts?

I'm picking up a lot of K-band false signals from the Honda HR-V. It may be the particular packages equipped on them, but it seems to be a noticeable consistent offender. I did manage to pick up a Honda Accord the other night too on the way home from dance practice late last night.

No hits at all on Acura's or any other brands. So far just Honda's.

BSM's and CAS's are a real problem for RD's and Escort seems to have tried to address this through their firmware updates since the R360 coming out. However, it would also be helpful if Escort would provide some more detailed information (than they currently do), when they release a firmware update. If they have altered filtering and/or sensitivity in a firmware update....to what band(s)/segment(s), versus just a cryptic "improved bsm filtering". If we knew more details, then it might be easier to monitor realtime segment performance following a firmware change. Just my 2c

While the Redline 360c has great CX-5 filtering as seen by @Vortex , I will be testing the reception range and reactivity in the 24.123 & 24.124 frequencies, against the same test & gun 24.125-126.
I would like to know if Escort secretly neutered that frequency like a secret K Notch , and sent it out like that as "improved".
The Hondas I've had set off the Redline above the K Notch range, 24.21X areas, as well as some punch throughs in the K Notch.

Lol, I’m a casual, set-it-and-forget-it RD user, and I’m a real lazy guy. I had a Valentine V1 forever, and switched to the Redline 360c mainly because I didn’t wanna have to deal with also running an app while using it.

So this is way above my pay grade.

It's really sad they have to resort to a K Notch, which is extremely dangerous, to silence (some) Hondas.

Anyone running K Notch is playing with fire.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'd want to notch K as well just because of the variety of radar guns in my area. Every time though it goes off with the Honda HR-V...

A pro m, R3, or V1G2 won't do that.
