Hey all. I started lurking around the RDforum a few months back thought it was time to make my intro post.

In 2010-2015 I was on the Radardetector.net forums, I started back then with Honda Civic and a Solo S2 / Bel 995 with Veil coated headlights. Back then I think LI was the king of the Jammer hill.
A 1 hour highway commute back then meant very active LEOs. But zero tickets

Now I commute 7 miles, in my dad-van [ 2018 Odyssey ] Less LEO daily, but about once a month I will drive up to Cleveland.
And since the entire state highway patrol is covering 71N/S. I started looking into what's new in detectors & CMs.

My goal is a RC-m & ALP setup, it seems to be the #1 choice on here these days.

In the mean time I might pickup a new windshield mount detector; V1G2 or R7. Hoping i can find any secondhand deals.

Welcome from Cincinnati! Lots of secondhand deals come up here. Be sure to also watch out for airplane. They are fairly active down here. Not sure how active near Columbus and Cleveland.

Welcome to the RDForum. We have a ton of resources here for you to read and learn.

As you mentioned, I-71 between Cleveland and Columbus is a "target zone". All sorts of enforcement practiced.

Hello @darkhonda and welcome to the Forum from Colorado. If you like the idea of directional arrows you're looking at Escort RL360c, Valentine1 Gen2 or Uniden R7. The Valentine and the Uniden are considerably less costly than the Escort RL360c and quite effective.
If you don't want to use a cellphone app to fill in some aspects of the Valentine's effectiveness I would strongly recommend the Uniden R7.
Just my own opinion based on a recent trip using all 3.

Welcome to the forum @darkhonda. There are a few of us running detectors and ALP's in our Odyssey's. It's a nice stealth vehicle to hide in. The last few times I've been up to NE Ohio, I've noticed OSP using a lot more laser these days. The good news is that they generally sit in the median and are marked on Waze.

Thanks for the tip. I see the recent $375 deals on the R7 so that's my baseline price point.

Do you have any pictures of your install?
Would a TMG setup be worth it anything at all on this car? Does Ohio use Dragon Eye systems?

Just because I am curious. Is Veil a bad word around here?
I know it was never a perfect CM, but I felt like it did help a lot with my civic.
