Hi folks - just a quick hello. I joined recently to learn more about laser/radar tech and understand the most effective tools that are in the market for the same. Lots of reading to do. I currently have a Valentine V1 (old gen) and being in Atlanta, it's not going to cut it as there's a heavy lean towards DE/laser here.

I'm super excited to be part of this forum and hoping to learn from you all.

Welcome from south florida :) yes with Atlanta being heavily laser based enforcement and tough guns at that you will want to look into some dedicated laser protection like ALP to make sure you are well covered. You should still run a good RD as there is some radar useage as well. Add in a an app like highway readar or JBV1 to give you better crowd sourced alerts and heatmaps as well!

Thank you @thebravo and others for great advice, will look into ALP with probably integrated radar that works effectively (if there exists one). I don't prefer using ALP + V1 as a separate device.
If you are looking for integrated systems, then check out ALP with Netradar or the radenso RC-M which integrates with ALP.

Welcome, and like all those before you'll need an ALP here. I live over in the Woodstock area and every municipality here runs DE. The only RD I see is KA but in the country areas of GA you will occasionally come across K. I personally run ALP with TX Head and my old Passport 9500ci for the KA. Considering a new Redline 360C but I HATE Escorts support and back turning policy on a unit when they have a new shiny model. Not complaining about support of the 9500ci its old as dirt so I expect EOL. Welcome!

Welcome to the land of laser. Many areas are hot in speed enforcement although it is not nearly as bad as it was when the crash of 2008 took place. Get some ALPs and a good detector from BRD and you'll do fine.

Welcome. On the interstates (285/75/20) JBV1 has been a game changer for me.
Heat map ROCKS !!!! Clean and Green till
... uh oh ... IT TURNED RED !!!

ATL here as well.

Get ALPs NOW !!!!
You can THANK ME later !!!! 🤔🤔🤓🤓😉😓

Some of Cherokees Sheriffs do a 250ft AMBUSH around a Curve with yheir Flame Throwers. Duluth, Norcross, 575 also have that obnoxious Fire Breathing BEASTS. ALPs are a NECESSITY here. Get the TX if your vehicle install allows it. 20" from the ground.

ALTHOUGH ... My TMG is only 18" from ground pointed up 1-3 degrees and JTG 😎😎

My other ALP install is 3RX on the Front cause less than 20" from ground on center sensor.

Good Luck on your choice(s)
