4+ mile detection!

Drove to the coast this weekend and the longest drive with new radar. I kept seeing Ka band ahead. I looked at my odometer. 4+ and probably 5 miles later, I saw the state trooper pulling someone over. AMAZING RANGE!

Road was flat in TX and trooper was facing forward with constant Ka on. My old V1 max range was 3 miles. This blows it away! I was using HIGHWAY mode.

I’m still waiting to get my first alert. Well, I’ve gotten a few hints on Ka but couldn’t locate the source.

I have Dish TV. My DFR9 has never ever alerted to it on K or Ka....

The DFR9 isn't sensitive enough to alert to it. An R series is.
