I'm not sure who could EVER recommend the DP360, just based on the range alone. It's absolutely terrible.

Do I love the BEL tones..omg yes....brings back a lot of memories!
It's not terrible. Worse than the over decade old Redline? Definitely. It's roughly comparable to the old V1G1, which isn't terrible, it's just a couple generations behind.

The main upsides to the DP360 are the all in one package (arrows, quiet operation, GPS features, etc) if it wasn't so unreliable for actually functioning, it would be an awesome detector for riding around the city in the wife's vehicle.

I got my open-box DP360 from Amazon today. It is so much better with arrow transitions and filtering than the RL360c. As an added bonus, the carrying case was missing. I reached out to Amazon support and they gave me a partial refund. Total price: $250 🙂

Well damn, and I've never used the carrying cases for anything but storage.
I don't know why they make them so big
I get myself Amazon hard drive cases that fit the detector like a glove.
Great deal and hope the honeymoon continues.

What do you think of the tones?
Should the R360c have them as an option?

Too soon to say, but I do wish I could have the Standard Plus option for secondary alerts.
I’m just thrilled to see the arrows behave properly when passing speed signs, just like the V1G2 did.

Yeah there is no bogey counter or second alert.
Just strongest signal
I would have to research it but I hope it gives Ka priority.

It's ultimately gonna spend 99% of its time on my shelf collecting dust, I'm sure, but I'm mainly wanting to do a simple overview type video of it. $300-$350 is a pretty killer deal and it'd be a pretty easy choice at that pricepoint. At $450 though, I dunno... you're getting into R7 and Max360 pricing which is why I've largely ignored it. I know you and others like it though so it's got me wondering if it'd be a good way to get arrows and autolockouts at the cheapest price possible ($450).

On another note, it'd also be nice to do a Cobra RD review and actually come to the conclusion that it's a decent detector. Usually I see people give the knee-jerk (and totally understandable) reaction to any Cobra product sucking because it has "Cobra" written on the packaging, but after seeing a number of you guys liking it, it does have me wanting to take a closer look at it.

There's a lot to like about it. It's quiet, decently reactive, has decent alert presentation, and OK range.

It just has the same bugs that plague the M6 platform.

It could be a great budget arrows recommendation If they ever get rid of the biggest and most concerning bug: the detector randomly going deaf until it's either power cycled or by going into and out of the menu.

Only 4 left now, somebodies buying them. There wasn't a limit when I originally posted.
Sold Out, but says more coming. Also saw that Cobra on ebay lists hundreds available now. Would be nice to see some f/w development continue.

I already have 2 of the DP360.
Hoping to avoid a public flogging for recommending them if many don't like them. 😁
Good to know you can help out a Canuck in need!
Thanks!

If Cedar can get their hands on the sleeping issue, I would definitely recommend the DP-360. But they just don't wanna talk about it. SSDD
