What’s New in Firmware v1.7

Cedar Electronics is happy to announce the release of version 1.7 firmware. We have several minor improvements which have been made in this release which should continue to improve your experience with the Redline 360c.

Enhancements:

Fixed an issue where turning Laser OFF did not disable laser

Reduced the volume on the lockout tone

Fixed an issue with the Interface mode 2 where the Redline 360c was not connecting to the ADS Maestro RR2

Improved MRCD/MRCT signal strength ramping



How to Get the Update

If you are taking advantage of the Wi-Fi connection in your vehicle or have access to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted for the update once it becomes available. If you are not able to access Wi-Fi, you can connect your Redline 360c to your computer via USB (https://www.escortradar.com/pages/update-your-device). There are two different links on the page depending on if you are using Windows or Mac OS.

I've just updated my RL 360c from v1.6 to the new v1.7, no issues, unit didn't want to do it in car via wi-fi, so went old school with the USB cable and Detector Tools Pro which pulled it right up, tooks just seconds.... then powered up in the car and did a database update via wi-fi....

Did you do a factory reset...doesn't Escort say you don't have to?

I updated and can confirm that laser detection does properly disable when you turn it off via the app or in the detector.

Hopefully the lockout tone adjustment is brought over to all of Escort's other detectors too! I remember this being annoying as far back as the 9500ix and it'd be a welcome change for all their detectors.

Regretfully @JSherbondy isn’t on the forum all of the time as he and his team are always busy with a myriad of things (firmware updates being one of them).
