It wasn't a contest just a comparison while I had a little time to run around town and the Interstate highway yesterday. The XP was only a second or two behind the RL360c on some K-Band alerts. A couple of BSM's set it off while the Escort remained quiet but that was expected. For me the XP was a good-looking dashboard mounted rd to play with. Nothing new here but it was interesting to me. I hope it's ok to post this.

Thanks for the report! It's good to hear updates on how the XP holds up in 2021. It still seems like a solid budget detector.

Totally okay to post but remember you can't really judge any radar detector when they are running together side by side. Both will cause each other to false and range can be affected.

Thank you Randy at Radenso. I know interference can happen, I just didn't notice any. 1 semi and 2 SUVS passing set off the XP, not bad considering all the traffic on the highway at the time. I thought the XP performed well and I would not hesitate to use it as long as not I am acting like a Supper-Speeder. Again, thank you.

The XP has always had good K-band range. Not exceptional, but good enough in most cases.

I have the XP on the windshield next to the R7. The R7 suction cup mount will work on the XP and I have a Pro M hardwired to the top of the windshield. I don't run them all at the same time. I run them separately, but these days I'm loving my XP more than the pro M because of the real frequency display and the rj11 power cable allowing for muting from the power cord. I don't find a significant difference in bsm filtering between the Pro m and XP. Maybe a little better on the Pro M but it's barely noticeable as the XP is so quiet. Now my R7 with version 1.35 is as quiet as my XP. Regardless, I really like the XP alot and still run it frequently. I think it's an under appreciated detector. You made a great choice picking one up.

OK, I ran the XP alone a day or so ago on the Interstate to the next town west and back and got no false alerts so the XP does appear to have good BSM filtering. If I were to run an XP exclusively I would upgrade to the latest model to gain muting on the 12V adapter plug. :)

One detector falsing another is only one of the potential issues when it comes to running two detectors at once. There's other issues too that may not necessarily be noticable.
