I am new to radar detectors and I am seeing if this is a good mounting place for R3 to get the most range out of it.
I'm also asking is because just today, I was at the highway and I got a Ka 34.7 alert at full blast. This is the first Ka signal I got since I bought it. Probably it was I/O. I never got any other warnings ahead of time, but just the full signal warning, like I was right on the kill zone. Probably the kill zone was on the other side since I could not see the vehicle. After a few seconds, I heard the detector's signal indicator drop and beep less for some reason at least 3 or 4 times. There was a small concrete center block in the middle, so I do not know if that was the cause too. Is 34.7 a really hard frequency to get ahead of time and why was I able to get the weaker signal after going right to the kill zone? I'm running Ka Narrow living in NC.
