Just received my new Redline 360c today from Best Buy. It's got some weight to it.

I'm coming from older Redline and Uniden R3, With those units, I installed permanent mounts to the top driver corner portion of the windshield, close to headliner in my vehicles for a more stealthy install being that I live in Virginia. The metal bracket/mounts for those RD's are small and discrete. Never had to worry about LE spotting even when pulling up next to me.

I didn't realize the 360c only came with the mag mount with huge suction cup. I'm looking for an option that doesn't require the suction cup on the windshield. Appears I'm limited to the magnetic mount clip to secure the RD. Saw one on eBay "Escort EZ Mag Compatible Adhesive Mount for Escort MAX360C MAX 3 Radar Detector" but it's still bulky and looks like it would leave the RD hanging low from the mount.

I looked at the rearview mirror mounts in the past but that is not ideal for me, RD is quite noticeable. Also tried one of those sunglass visor organizers that had a pocket for RD. It was ok but not ideal, especially when I needed to use the sun visor.

Anyone comes across any other options, suggestions or ideas?

Make sure you get the complete kit that have the little H shaped piece in it because I converted my old blend mount to the new one that you use the magnet that comes with the red line but I forgot to get one extra part and now my red line is up right underneath the mirror.
They also have some that will mount to the stem of the mirror off to the side where you could probably get it even higher up.
This is with my 9500ix and also the red line but this was before I got the extra piece to tuck it up underneath the mirror.

This is the adapter kit from using my old blend mount to the new red line.

I bought this:

New ESCORT MAX 360c, IX, IXc Radar Mount Brkt Magnetic -2 axis (P-E-MAG)

I removed everything from the mount, then just put the Escort Magnetic right at the top between the two 'ears'. Works perfectly. It is just the adhesive plate and Magnet.

Here are my photos of it:

Enjoy your new RL!
Nice! I like that small little mount I might end up going with that down the road! 👍👍

It's a good setup but RD's are illegal where I live and that would make it visually too obvious. Thanks though.

If I hadn't have already had the blendmount I would have got that small one for sure on eBay!
My blend Mount was about 8 years old so I had to order a couple of extra parts to make it work with the new redline.

That small one looks perfect for your application though.
I just wonder if you get it high up in the tinted part of the windshield would it affect the laser reception?

I'm just glad they're not illegal down here in Texas, you see everybody with stuff hanging off their windshield wires hanging everywhere.
🤣😁

I have the RL360c mounted somewhat custom under the mirror. If you have the plastic shroud that extends down around the mirror on the windshield that covers the cars cruise radar electronics or camera, you can use one of those plastic disks and stick it to that plastic shroud which allows it to sit super tight under the mirror like a blend mount. You just use the suction mount tho instead of a blendmount and its actually tighter to the mirror and super stealth. It doesn't have that hanging low and obvious effect like some mirror mounts. I will post a pic. I left about a half inch gap from the bottom of the mirror for the rear radar "eye" on the RL360c, to be able to still "see" the back window clearly.

We would love to see pictures please. Sounds great!
Well, here's mine. It's relatively discreet but not quite permanent. Almost permanent because that high mounted sticky cup is tough to remove. Not easily seen from outside my truck.

One thing to note about pickup trucks, any detector I mount up high behind the tint strip is very visible from behind.
Dark mode is a must for night driving.
If sunshine in front, the profile is visible from behind.
If I was in a banned province or state, I would look for a way to physically obstruct an expensive detector from view all 360 degrees.

I bet, you might be able to slip on the Escort M1 dash cam onto this mounting too, tucked up nice/high/hidden for both. IF ever pulled over, you have legit “needed offset mount” for your “dash cam“. Stick the RL in your secret compartment. :)

M1, while not perfecr compared to high end cams works great. Single power for both RD/cam. Change the memory card out to Uber sized micro USB you have almost all day recording (or more). Works great on trips or bopping around town. The M1 mount kit that comes with it, has the bolts for this. Plus works great on R7 sticky mount. Single power RD/Cam system for the R7 too,

how's the adhesive on it so far that you can tell? you prob won't be able to tell until extreme summer temps, followed by winter again...that's when those sticky cups seem to pop off.

I will never know.....I removed the adhesive and applied the 3m dual lock to it. That way I can swap out multiple RD's up high as my mood fits. That said, the adhesive was the good 3m, which I have never had fair before.

I made a 3d print for the Max360c and Cobra DP360, when I did not receive the windshield mount to test them. It worked with my Uniden two suction cup mount, and a little smoothing out to snug fit. Added Cell phone mini magnets to lock. Should be easy to convert to permanent mounts of others.

Did you actually make a run of these?
I could use these to adapt to all my Uniden, Escort, Radenso little suction cup mounts, using 3M mounting tape and have low profile Escort mag mounts!?
I would simply like a permanent mounting tape solution, without cannibalizing the sticky cup factory mount.
Maybe we can come up with a cost effective number of people here worth making a production run of them?
