ALP placement 2020 MB CLA45

Hello, this is a parcial repost of asking if this placement looks ideal. Two regular and 1 tx both front and rear. See pics. Thanks for advice, newbee to forum. Also is Sugru recommended over 3m tape. The best installer in my town said go with the highest slots on the horizontal front grill fins as this car is rather low. One concern is how close the rear sensors will be to each other on the rear with all three on that shelf where licence plate lights are. I'll try to put them as far apart as possible but worried if shot on the tail light that its to far from sensors. 2 regular and 1 tx in middle.

For the front (I assume you can't cut into the grill due to it being a lease?). RX sensors vertical on the slats where the parking sensors are and the TX head horizontal on the passenger side of the emblem.

For the rear try to put the TX head as center as possible under the bumper cutout/above the plate then the RX heads as far out as you can in that area. I will attach a pic of my setup on my BMW in a bit so you can see.

Make sure that at least for the rear ALL heads are clear of the body line by 1/8th of an inch. That makes a MASSIVE difference in performance and efficiency.

okay, i'll put them all front and rear sticking out 1/8th past flush. If you double click on the grill you can see there are horizontal flat spots perfect to mount them. This grill is completely open for air intake so there is nothing to drill out as it is wide open without backing. Heres a brighter pic. I was thinking the top most corner possible and great to hear that tx should be on passenger side of emblem, i was unsure about that. Lastly, the installer checked with actual ALP sensors and it did fit in upper most right and left spot on front grill.

Great car!

Fronts should be pretty straightforward with placement, especially since your heads fit in the grill.

For the rears, make sure you can get the heads at least 20" off the ground if you're going to use a Tx head back there. If it's too low, stick with two regular heads pushed out on either side of the rear plate area.

okay, thanks. On those front horizontal spots to mount, i should make sure the head sticks out about 1/8 past those vertical chrome grill "bars" that run top of grill to bottom correct? and yes that flat part above rear plate is 20" off ground. I am hoping if the two regular sensors are as far left and right on that "shelf" above plate, my hope is they will cover the taillight area. But you dont think thats to close together to have all three on that flat "shelf" above licence plate?

Also please , does Sugru provide the best leveling and mounting option since you can always break the sensor away and remount, plus its easy to find exaclty level while it is still plyable..... agree?

RX head placement in front grill. I am concerned I should have went lower than the top slots on the grill. I went in the upper most right and left corners. The pictures are above this post. Can someone advise if that is to high because its just right below the hood. I could have went lower closer to the middle of the grill but to late they already installed. I think its okay because of the 24" radius and how small the car is. At least its by the headlight which is often a target that is aimed at by a gun, correct?? thx.

I thought this might be helpful. After looking on ALP's site it looks like high up on the grill by the hood and near the headlights is good placement.
