I did the update. Install was flawless. Wifi through my Phone. Tested it and im soo disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it detects flawlessly, the problem is the arrows only indicate foward no sides or back when passing LEO. Version 1.4 worked great. All arrows worked excellent. This 1.6 is not hitting a home run with me. What gives. I hope someone at Escort is reading this. Any advice would be great. I thought about doing a re install. Let me know my friends about this dilemma ive encountered.

Sorry to hear your negative experience. I on the other hand did not notice any problems with the arrows as they flipped from front, to side to rear as it should. I would try to update again or even do a factory reset. Btw - was it K or Ka?

Hi Paul. I run Ka here up in Northern cali. I will do the steps for reseting and reinstall. God I sincerely hope it fixes the issue. I mean it was fine on 1.4 so its a software glitch. I will have to get back to you and all reading for an update..

Good luck @thundir and I hope that by resetting and reinstalling 1.6 you're able to correct your arrow issues. Like @PaulJakl, I didn't have any issues with my arrows nor did any of the others who have performed some of the quick testing right after its release.
Thank you jestric. Im gearing up now. Just trying to find the steps to reset.

I have always thought the side arrows are of little value, but I agree they should at least work right!

Thanks Tony. For the money one shells out it would be nice to have it properly functioning.
Are you having a problem every time? Sometimes arrows can act wonky if there is something around for it to reflect off of. Might be a one off situation.

Can some one walk me through the steps ease in doing a factory reset. All I was able to do was restore to factory default but its still in version 1.6.

Hi Brainstorm. Yes this happened today in 3 occasions. It just won't flip. Stuck on foward. Nothing in the way. Never had this issue on the same freeway I run through. 1.4 was great. No issues.

Sometimes my Max 360 doesn't flip after a LEO passes. It could be that the cop has his rear facing radar turned off and the front radar has nothing to reflect off of that give an alert. Maybe you experienced something similar.

I will try again tomorrow Disco47. I did the reset to factory default. It just resets your settings.

A factory reset doesn’t wipe out the installed FW. It doesn’t have anything else to fall back on.

Think of it this way.... it’s like formatting all the setting and all the memory.... but you still have the operating system intact. The FW is the operating system.

There is no “Default” base FW. There is no way to “Roll Back” between FW’s with any other detector, except for Uniden.

Hello Heywood. I see what your explaining. I just don't see how re setting your settings will cure my delima. But I did and reset it back how I had it. Let's see tomorrow. I will take it for a spin . Im off work and will play with it. I will repost my findings. Hope I dont have to send it in for a look over at Escort.

While a reset may not do anything, you can actually re-install the current firmware with Detector Tools Pro. That will do something. Whether or not it fixes your problem, you can only find out by trying.

That’s actually a good idea.

When I first got the Max360C.... it was having all sorts of issues.

After about the 3rd FW re-install.... it seemed to find it’s stride.

Larry from Escort mentioned something to me about it’s cached memory having a fault.

I did one tests and the Max360C was terrible. Everything in the kill zone. After a few times reinstalling the same FW.... it was like night and day.

It’s worth a shot. Good idea @Brainstorm69

Hi, I tried reinstalling the software using my Detector tool and said I was already up to date so that was a no go.
